Have you ever shot 700+ rounds in a weekend prairie dog shoot? That’s a lot of Barnes copper bullets.
For now, that's not an issue as you're likely talking about private land.

For now, the rule they're trying to pass is for National Wildlife Refuges. As 1minute noted, the rule has been in effect for them for years for waterfowl. But not for upland birds or game animals. The majority of refuges are primarily waterfowl hunting only.

When/if the feds try to outlaw ammunition containing lead on ALL fed lands, then it will be a real issue. As others have pointed out, nose under the tent thing.

Perhaps, someday in the future, they will attempt at banning it on private lands also. Maybe under the claim that the game and non game animals belong to the People (except perhaps high fence operations).

Well, breathing that Mt Dew/lead vapor steam takes awhile to kick in.

Coughing will probably start next week or so.

So Barnes cost 2x Sierras.

How much are your truck payments ?
How much did the gas cost to get to the hunt ?
Food, Lodging ?

If you can't afford bullets, try a crossbow, far more sporting.

BTW what was the last time some official checked your ammo ?

Well, let's not forget.

So does arsenic, cobalt, uranium, radon gas, and a whole host of other nasties.

But, that's not really the issue.
Copy that.

What basic lathe would be necessary for one to turn/produce his own solids? What would be necessary to accurately transition the solids to HP’s?

Here's a thought.

Suppose the bill passes and of course, is signed by Beijing Biden. How can it be enforced with millions of hunters out on Federal lands? Well, it is easier than one might think ... so long as you adjust your mindset to that of a good America hating Democrat. Here's how they think.

As millions of hunters' firearms and ammunition would have to be constantly examined every day of hunting seasons throughout the United States, it necessarily would require hiring hundreds of thousands more Federal employees to enforce the "Hunters' Lead Free Bullet Possession Act."

There are hundreds of thousands of unemployed welfare cheats who would jump at the chance to be a sworn Federal officer carrying a gun and the authority to use it if he or she felt threatened by a right wing reactionary red neck running dog capitalist pig lead ammo carrying hunter, and be able at a moments notice to gun down the "resistor." Maybe a starting salary of $95,000.00 per year with possibility of rapid advancement, 20 weeks of paid vacation time, free medical and hospitalization, a nice, free 4x4 to drive, and the comradeship of fellow peers... which would include free beer. Not bad duty, huh?

That is how Democrats would enforce the "lead free ban."
