I have a CVA “Cascade” 6.5 Creedmoor I purchased for $299.00 when our local Walmart sold all their firearms in stock at half price due to the fact they were no longer going to sell firearms. I purchased a bunch of Remington 700 SPS’s for $199.00 each. They had a CVA “Cascade” 6.5 CM. I figured what the heck.
I ran a load I shoot in one of my custom Creedmoor’s. The CVA shot right out of the gate. The barrel was incredibly smooth and cleans quick.
These are 100 and 200 yards groups. First mule deer it took was a high shoulder shot at 407 yards. The buck dropped at the shot. That 135gr Berger destroyed the lungs.

I sold mine to a young, single, man. As I told him, it "should" tighten up with more rounds down the barrel. I have seen alot of rifles like that through the years. Problem with the 6.5 PRC is ammo. "when" you can find it, its very expensive. But I sure do like the round, better than the Creedmoor. I like the 6.5/06 speeds of the 6.5 PRC. I also used a wildcat 6.5/284 for a couple seasons that was a lightening bolt on game! But I'm more Old School. I would love to have a 24" Browning Safari in 264 Win Mag...but I don't want to float a loan to buy one! ha
I just bought my second. Good rifles, accurate, truly flush magazine, GREAT trigger. They are a definite step up from the Savage/Ruger American class of rifles.
How does the brass look like after first firings? I ask (and I realize not everyone reloads) because the brass out of two B14's I reload for are pretty beat up. Others here at the Campfire have said the same. Spoken to Bagara about it. Their answer was if it shoots first time brass fine, they are not going to worry about it. I.E. they aren't supporting reloads for legal issues. I get that, I do. The chamber for these two rifles are really rough. So my question goes to the quality of the chamber since Bagara makes the barrels / cuts the chambers?

I haven’t had any brass that looked poor after shooting in my 3 cascades but I’ve shot very little “full power” loads. Mostly light cast bullet loads. So, my brass looks fine but I haven’t been pushing it.
Thinking about the brass some more… I shot some bone jarring loads out of the 450bm and some near max reloads from the 308 and all of the brass looked perfect.

Impressive groups! I guess I need to play around with my 308 to see what it will do…
I have a CVA Cascade SB in .223. The rifle is extremely accurate and I'm getting 0.5 MOA groups. HOWEVER, there is a big issue with feeding reliability. CVA sent me a new magazine as I thought this was the issue. Unfortunately I'm still having feeding issues. The magazine can hold 5 rounds, I am jamming constantly on the 3rd round. It seems that 3rd round gets pushed tip up and jams at the top of the receiver instead of smoothly going forward into the chamber.
Any thoughts?
This CVA magazine is also used for their 350 legend and 300 blackout rifles.
