I am looking for 7mm bullets that are going to expand quickly and violently on impact. These will be used on Sitka deer, which are smaller, but tough as nails. I want to load something that will put a hole through the boiler room and make a blood trail that Ray Charles could follow. Anyone who has spent any time in the marsh knows that a small deer can be almost impossible to find in 4' tall needle grass.
What ya got laying around? Suggestions welcome as well.

It really depends on what 7mm your going to be shooting them in. Me personally I wouldn't shoot a 120 grain bullet of any kind through something like a 7 mag at a deer but a 7mm-08 would be a different story. Last year I loaded some 120 grain sierra pro hunters for my 7mm-08 and only took one big doe with it but was very impressed. I shot her about 200 yards away broadside in the left shoulder and it went completely through both shoulders and kept going and she fell in her tracks.

Nosler 120gr ballistic tip hunting bullets worked great in my 7-08 mountain rifle. Leave a short blood trail that Helen Keller could find on a moonless night.
Just because you're offended doesn't mean your right.

7x57 for this use guys. So, basically a twin to the 7mm-08.
An eastern shore of md sitka deer is considered big at 80lbs. They are aggressive and easily run off whitetail 2x thier size. They also soak up horsepower much more than whitetail. I have seen them soak up a 300win at 50yds and were never found. Once they get in that salt marsh, they disappear. You learn to use whatever makes them look like they stepped on a land mine. Walking too deep into the marsh leads to you needing new boots after your partner pulls you out of the waste deep mud. Not to mention they are the jewell of the East Coast, so I never chance it. I used 125gr NBTs in a 30-06 for a few years and it works perfectly. This year I want to use the mauser just because....

At those distances…shoot ‘em in the head. Then it doesn’t matter.
