Also adopted a pup from the rescue the day after being home. Wife took pity on my bruised and tired self and couldn't say no to the cute little puppy. I kinda told a fib. Said I needed puppy therapy and she didn't know I intended to bring one home Daisy has grown a ton in the past month and knows lots of commands and is doing awesome for being 16 weeks old. Me being off work a while was good, as I was able to spend a lot of time training her. I got back to work and they immediately told me they were thinking of letting me go. I said "huh?!" They then came back to me later saying never mind, they would find stuff for me to do. I was annoyed and hurt by their lack of loyalty until lunch time when my phone rang, telling me a local gunshop had seen my resume and a friend who worked there had gotten me in. So the guy who couldn't shave now sells knives for them along with safes and Scopes and air guns. More money good hours and a hell of a discount Your prayers must have worked on more than the health, I guess.

Shouldn't there be at least 3 zero's behind that platelet number? My buddy's 15 yr old son has been fighting it for 2 years. Hopefully he can play football this year. Kid has still grown like a weed. They're still not sure what's causing it. Did they give you a dx? ITP? Keep up the good fight and let the wife know that if you get cranky, it's just the 'roids talkin'.

Still doing blood draws every other week. My numbers are finally back to normal levels and we are working on getting me off the steroids. Nasty side effects from those.
Will be nice to sleep normally again.
As I understand it, I have a 50/50 chance of this happening again in the future.

Thoughts and prayers for you from Iowa.

Bad attitude, also - but that seems somewhat temporary. Hopefully, you're on the right side of the 50/50.

As I understand it, I have a 50/50 chance of this happening again in the future. I'll bet $10 against you. That should just about guarantee the optimum outcome for you. This is how things go for me, and someone else may as well benefit.
