1970 or 71 in rural France. Camped in a VW bus on the side of a back road. Looked out the off road window and saw a rotating disc of considerable size with white and red lights on it's rim. WTH???
Turned out to be a reflection in the window of cars driving around a long curve on a provincial highway across the valley from us....with very even spacing between vehicles. Had my hair standing on end. Took more than a few minutes to figure it out. No, it wasn't the 50 centime wine we had with supper.
Don't know if it counts but last week I pulled out of my drive and about 100 yds. down the road I had a small black bear run into my car. I'd seen it and mashed the brake and pulled to the side but it just keep walking and bumped into my car. It ran around the front of my car and up the bank and sat down and glowered at me with a peeved look on it's face. I expected it to flip me the claw. I sat and laughed and laughed at it's expression. Left a small clean spot on my fender.
Gunnison- interesting. A lot of weird stuff seems to happen in the mount shasta area. Lot of missing persons reports and the strange thing is....many are young children who report being cared for by "a bear man". All I'm saying is it really makes you wonder.

There’s a lot of interesting stories about that place….
I gave a lecture at the University. Plenty of weird shizzles to see walking across campus. Was glad to see the Engineering college appeared fairly normal tho.
l told my pap and mam I was going to be a mountain man; acted like they was gut-shot. Make your life go here. Here's where the peoples is. Mother Gue, I says, the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world, and by God, I was right. - Del Gue
Driving through Kansas at night once on the way to Colorado, I saw multiple things flying across the sky that looked like they were on fire. Like meteors, comets, or missiles trailing each other across the sky...Turned out to just be space trash re-entering the atmosphere per the news...It was pretty cool to see though at night...
LOL, no BS. I passed a 3 car fender bender on the interstate on ramp last week and there were about a dozen of those spread out on the asphalt. I'd have liked to see the LEO's face when he showed up on scene. I would have thought someone would have been embarrassed enough to gather them up but they were all just standing there with their phones to their ears.
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
1996 I was hunting our lease in Tuscaloosa County one Friday afternoon. I was watching 2 bobcats work the field edge when they stopped and the hair stood up on both. I look up the logging road and here comes a tan mountain lion. Here’s the thing the DNCR has stated for years there are none in the state but I know exactly what I saw. It cruised past at 20 yards and I’m sitting there with just my Bow. Called the game warden and he told me I was full of [bleep] and didn’t see what I saw. I’ve got a pic (from the next day) of the print somewhere.
Sometimes you don't see it, you feel it. One particular gravel pit in Highland plantation, Maine absolutely freaks me out. Day, night, morning, evening. Doesn't matter when
