I just dipped a toe in the water. Stopped in Bass Pro yesterday. They had the $799 Franchi Momentum on sale for $599. The display model pistol grip end cap came unglued so they dropped the price to $509. A couple drops of glue later and now you'd never know. The adjustable trigger is about 2.5 lbs and has no take up. The bolt only lifts to level to pull it back. The factory included test target measures 0.91" with Hornady 165 gr FTX ammo. I'd like to hear from all you 350L users on which rifle you have and how you like the caliber.

Just returned returned from the range after shooting my new 350L. Back in December I took a remington LH 700 cdl to Shaw barrels to be rebarreled to 350L. It took them 6 months but I am very happy with the results. I got a 22in. stainless remington heavy sporter 1 in 16 twist. Shot 3 3 shot groups this morning. 1.25" 3/8" and 3/4" @100 yds. The load was 26.5 gr. of IMR 4227 in Starline brass CCI 400 primer and 165 gr. Hornady FTX.

350L is great, but has some quirks if handloading.

I've had a CVA and Ruger. Kept the CVA and really like it. At that price, I'd give that Franchi a try

This summer I've been playing with an AR upper I built using a Shaw Custom barrel (all I could find at the time) and an MGM barrel for my Encore. Both shoot real well and I'm surprised that the Shaw on the AR shoots a little better than the MGM (but in all fairness I've been mostly working with the AR). I too decided on the Hornady 165 FTX and it shoots great but recently someone claims the terminal performance of the FTX's isn't very good! Figures since I loaded up on 400 of them while I could find em. I like this round so much I'm getting another AR barrel to replace one of the many 223 Wylde barreled uppers I've got. The biggest problems I see with this round is the lack of accessories (bore guides, jags that fit snugly instead of the jags sized for multiple calibers). I'm looking for a 35 cal. jag that I can turn down to fit my barrels tightly. All in all if your hunting and shooting under 200 yards this round is the cats ass, the bee's knees and the moths balls!!

Proper prior practice prevents piss poor performance!

I was hesitant on the Shaw barrel as well. Mainly due to things I have read on this forum. But now that I see how well it shoots I'm satisfied. I will say that they are very poor when it comes to communicating with the customer.

I got a Savage Axis on close out at Walmart....and promptly rebarreled it to a 17 Fireball, with the same 18 inch barrel length, in a heavy magnum contour....

I have an AR that shoots well but there were a couple of quirks with it. It is undergassed with the cheap Winchester 45g fmj load. When loading I had problems with bullets setting back on the feed ramps even with a lot of crimp. I finally went to h4198 which gives me a high load density so the bullet doesn't set back. I get good velocity and accuracy and it's temp stable. I'm using the 170g interlock. I've also ran some 147g xtps fir varmint loads. The 170s are going a bit over 2200 from my 16" barrel.

I bought a Ruger AR-556 for my daughter. She really likes the rifle and it is plenty accurate with handloads. My only complaint would be that the cartridge does not produce a large wound channel and blood trails are minimal or non-existent. I encourage her to intentionally aim for shoulders.

The 350 isn't producing blood trails?

I started a few years ago with a BCA upper on my AR-15. Accurate and deadly on deer. I bought a lefty Savage Axis this year. Also accurate. Brother and friend both purchased Ruger American Ranch Rifles in 350 after seeing my results. Here is a 50 yard 4 shot group with my reloads.

What ammo? I've heard lots say stick with 170-180 gr bullets. They say the 150 gr bullets aren't good.

It was free shipping on $49. I see they did drop the price $2.00 today. Even with shipping the same four boxes I bought with free are cheaper OTD today.

I shot my ar 350 legend, I was surprised that shot the full metal jacket Winchester 145 grains slick as could be no jams I was trying to move the site 4 inches to the right at 50, and had to leave. Will go back next week with some 180 grains and finish the sight in. If the Romeo #4 is not jacked up!

I've been playing with a 16" BCA 350 upper and have really been impressed with it. First sighting in scope and then just burning ammo, the cheap 145 fmj ammo I picked up cheap shot tight groups. Fed it some Hornaday 170 gr American Whitetail ammo and it shot well....so I'm going to give that a try this year. Very neat little round. I'm not an AR guy, more of a bolt gun junkie, but I like the little 350 AR.

That said, I'll probably end up with a bolt gun in it as well. I saw JES has " *** Testing the new 350 LEGEND***" posted on his site. Anyone had a .223 rebored?

I seem to recall someone here saying they’d done that. Good option for someone with a spare rifle on hand. Have considered having my Mini 14 converted, but already have too many deer rifles, and $1000 would buy a pretty nice factory .350 like a carbon Howa.
