With the repeated failures of Russian troops and the continuous loss of ground by the Russian military putin is becoming more and more dependent upon his hired mercenaries, The Wagner Group.
The oligarch who runs the Wagner Group has become more and more critical of Russian troops and the way putin has prosecuted the invasion now reversed.

I was sure hoping Russia would put a serious whipping on the odious Ukrainian government and by proxy NATO and of course Biden's bosses whoever they are. Putin has been in some pretty tight spots before. He is tenacious and you can bet he won't give up as long as he has ammo. And he does have some serious ammo. Toot Toot is a jellyfish... Putin has been in some pretty tight spots before. He is tenacious and you can bet he won't give up as long as he has ammo. And he does have some serious ammo. Ukraine is just one aspect of what's going on. It's undoubtedly clear to the people of Western Europe that the situation has put a serious hardship on them and that it's soon going to get much worse. I'm sure that Putin knows that also. Nobody really knows what's going on behind the scene in Russia. But as I've said, the war hasn't started yet, and I strongly suspect that the power brokers behind the whole affair don't care what happens to Ukraine, Western Europe, Russia, or the U.S.A. I think Putin knows that also. I wonder how long until everybody involved figures it out.
