Ain't had schit for luck and ain't seen a tremendous amount of turkey sign last 3 times.

Hopefully some other areas with some creeks and streams with water in em will open Friday for Fall SG turkey hunting.
This fall turkey hunting is a different game than spring.
New to me for sure...
Being in a area with birds would help too 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤣🤣
This might be a new thing for me if this 6 weeks cut off of SG and ML for deer on post stays the policy.
Or I might have to pick up a bow again and hunt these 6 weeks now that are only bow.
I dunno....
2007 is when I stopped bow hunting..
Been awhile, but It wouldnt take much to get good with a bow again.

Sounds like me and deer. I hunt every year, but I'm a pretty shiddy deer hunter, mostly cause there just ain't many deer on the ground I hunt 🤣

Our firearm season is also an entire 7 whopping days, so some years I don't even see any deer. I get one maybe once every 5 or 6 years. It's more like coyote hunting from a deer stand... pop one or two of those lousy fuggers just about every deer season.

Fall turkey hunting is a new game to me.
I just hope some other areas open up for it friday and this weekend.
Still gonna hit 9A tomorrow.
But if it the only one open this weekend I ain't gonna hit it.

Deer season opens nov 5 here for SG ML on post.
And also the 5th for ML in Tn.

I'm gonna focus on post till I'm one and done Buck tag wise.
It should be good since it ain't had 6 weeks of gun hunters stomping all around. Educating does and been only bow hunting for the 1st time ever this year for the 6 weeks that got cut off the normal season for the past 3 decades.

I’m in ! I’m in!! laugh
Pulled a couple of cards in cameras yesterday and had a bear on one. pic#1 I thought maybe it was a boar on a dispersal mission.
Went in before daylight this morning, set up and had this bear pic#2 come in about 20 yards. Only problem was it had two cubs in about the 65 lb range tagging along. Let her go. It was a good day to be in the woods tho.

We feed deer as well, the soup kitchen was especially busy this year with the drought as our irrigated hay and cornfields were the only deal going. A green magnet.

Between the deer and grasshoppers we've spent +$50k on hay to make up for the loss. The guy that chops our silage corn couldn't believe the damage.

Real fun summer!

👍👍👍

Our ML season is 3 days in December... after firearm season. I don't even try to figure what kind of logic went into that decision. 🙄

They did finally join the century and decide to legalize some rifles for deer back in May, in a downright shocking fit of sense.

I'm betting grasshoppers deserve 80% of the blame.
