Truth is, 30 -30 and 270 are probably in the top 3 for Polar Bear kills.

A 30/30 will kill a deer any week day, twice on Saturday and Sunday.

Not since 1966 - a doe. Nor anything else with the '94, by me, since. A couple brothers used it on deer for a few years in Washington. Worked for them on several deer. I still use it as my carry rifle up here for walk-about. Them bear's just giggle and wander off, shaking their heads.

If I get the chance, I'll use it on a moose or caribou.

Ya gotta use a Marlin for moose(my first - 1970) and black bear (several since). I really liked that rifle, but yes - a boating incident really did claim it. It sleeps with the fishes on the bottom of the Tanana River, along with the Nylon 66 - another really good rifle that I miss.

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

There is no believing a liar, even when he speaks the truth.
