[quote=Beaver10] I found that black ‘C’ shaped culvert and turned it into elk sled. It was a pretty slick setup. 🦫 I can't really see what you got going there but we used a Deer Sleigh'r like this on a bear this fall with good luck. Built like one a those flexible teflon cutting boards. You lace it up tight. I think it would have been better with a harness to pull with. https://www.bonanza.com/listings/Ne...hmNV_OBt--kzPd-svotT0OO_l-xoCdnAQAvD_BwENot a great pic of the split, corrugated culvert pipe that logging companies place under logging roads being cut in for water drainage. These things are heavy duty, but still manageable, weight wise. Drilled out several holes for ropes and pulling. I’ve never had a drilled hole eyelet crack or open up from the strain on the rope attached pulling 650lbs up and through nasty shît. Bullet proof comes to mind. 🦫 That be corrugated hdpe pipe Beav.... installed miles of that chit. Fireballz..... great buck.... reminds me of all the trips I did with my dad just south of you in the Marble Mt wilderness around Happy Camp. Love that country but damn tuff packing..... I'd put it up against anything I have hunted in Co,Nv,Id,Wy, or Montana. Nothin cooler than a huge black tail in my opinion.

+P. Oregon sucks. I hate it here. LOL Have you thought about moving? Nice deer... I assume. I know nothing of Blacktail... vs. Whitetail or Sika
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

FB, great deer, congrats! I used to hunt mule deer in Oregon (Maupin 140 Unit) with some Portland boys, they used to say "you died and went to Oregon"!

+P. Oregon sucks. I hate it here. LOL Spotted two bucks at 900 yards, put them to bed on a sunny ridgeline and made the stalk to a 100 yard shot. Great day in Oregon blacktail country! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

What does deer taste like? Chicken? Can you make hot dogs out of deer?
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I was there in mid late august all over your state. It was burning like a SOB. Quite a bit of logging in one of the areas we stayed.
It’s cool looking country. Like most places, people F’d it up.
Camp is where you make it.
