Saw this on Twitter. Basically, PayPal can dock your account for $2,500 for anything they deem misinformation or hate speech. That's bad enough, but if we look under Prohibited Activities ( https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/acceptableuse-full), then we find this: You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:
1. violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation.
2. relate to transactions involving (a) narcotics, steroids, certain controlled substances or other products that present a risk to consumer safety, (b) drug paraphernalia, (c) cigarettes, (d) items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity, (e) stolen goods including digital and virtual goods, (f) the promotion of hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory or the financial exploitation of a crime, (g) items that are considered obscene, (h) items that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right under the laws of any jurisdiction, (i) certain sexually oriented materials or services, (j) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories, or (k) certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law. Be careful. This policy probably will not withstand legal challenge but you don't want to be the test case. Okie John

It’s already been cancelled. A huge blowback made them tuck their tails.
They claim it was released by “mistake”. Mistake my a$$. Somebody had to have drafted the policy, which means they fully meant it, but didn’t anticipate how much it would pi$$ people off.

No PayPal here. I sold a rifle to a man in Tennessee on GunBroker about 15 years ago. I agreed to accept Paypal. He put "for rifle" in the notes and PayPal banned me forever for engaging in "dangerous behavior".
F'ck them.

I've used Paypal for years, without any problems..... but, about a year ago, I didn't like their liberal ways and cancelled my account. Haven't missed them one bit.

Call me what you want I been using PayPal for over 10 years mostly buying, sending gifts and have sold a few things never had a problem with them. It's strictly business nothing else.

I believe it's owned by Chinese now, like a lot of former American business. If you have a problem, they finally deal with it. Visa will cut to the chase faster. Their political activism of late is inappropriate, like Go Fund Me,etc. For these reasons the one click convenience isn't so important anymore.
