I've used 45 gr of IMR4350, worked well in 2 7mm-08's, not the fastest. If you want a bit more speed, try Big Game at 50 grains.

Works great with a 120 Sierra too. +3 on 45 grains of Var-jay. 50 Grains of Big Game is also good in mine.

Varget works but I've found Rl15 to work very well at 40 grains ( youth load) and have a good range of accuracy at 43-45 grains. Big game works also but accuracy window is small. I use RL15 in youth rifle and Big Game in my rifle. Try RL15 for quick work.

51.5 gr Big Game, Winchester Large Rifle Magnum primer.
3,126 fps.
Close to max, work up to it.
Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

I’ve got varget and imr 4350. Think I may try it. Looking for alittle more speed
Currently loading 4350 with the 140 nbt. It shoots well in everything but is slow.

Big Game for up to 140gr. Hunter for 150's..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I load 50gr of H4350 for both of my 7mm-08s.
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong. Getting into reloading to save money is like getting married for free sex.

Gonna shoot 45 grains of varget with the 120 bt until suppressor arrives then do a little more load development. Thanks for the information I have always had good luck finding an accuracy node with Varget in .223, .243, 7mm-08 and .308. I do not chase speed. Just stop when I find something sub-MOA in my rifle.

Not a fan of NBTs. My 7-08s all like 120 TTSXs over Big Game.

My groups with the 120 gr BT and 49 gr of BG looked a lot like the group posted above. It was right at 3k fps in my gun. Worked up to 51 gr and the groups were slightly larger. Put it back at 49 as I like cup and core bullets around 2900-3000 fps starting velocity. Now the 120 ttsx, I push at 3175 with BG with .75 MOA accuracy.

I will have to remember this when I load up some more 7mm-08s.. Never fooled with many loads for mine. Made it to hunt whitetails on the east coast. Since I made my last trip there, I think is has been sitting on a junk table gathering dust.
