Judman,
No flies on a 19 but I'd question whether you need the abbreviated grip frame.
Go big, baby.
And yes, get an optic.

These days, the selection is plentiful. Yep. Glock is as good as Glock ever was. And in that genre of pistol today there are plenty of pistols every bit as good. S&W, Sig, CZ, HK, Walther, FN and some that didn't come to mind right away. This^^^^^^^^^^^ The G5 Glocks have a good, new, better trigger than previous models though. I've moved to the new versions of the Smith M&P 2.0..............fit my hand better, so far with 4 of them in the house, not a single malfunction. MM

I'd still take a look at a m&p compact 9mm. About the same size of the 19, but also come with sleeves to run full size 17 round mags in them. I've gotten out of the Glock business all together. I have four m&ps at the moment. Absolutely love them. And you can use Glock 17 mags in a Glock 19. Or just buy a Glock 19 X model. They come with 1-17 round mags, and 2-19 round mags. https://www.cdnnsports.com/glock-19x-9mm-5th-gen.htmlYes the 19X is a great configuration if you're committed to never running an optic or willing to buy another slide that is cut. The 45 is the same but optics ready. They can be a little tough to get in some places but probably worth the effort if you don't need a sawed off grip frame.

This, get a 17 MOS and put an optic on it. Maybe. It kinda depends on the full purpose of the gun. One of the big advantages to appendix carry (arguably the most popular right now) is that grip frame length is a less of a factor. But if it's a handgun that's going to be riding in a full size holster for outdoor use, a shooter should ask why they care about sizing the gun down at all. All things to consider.

Can you still get a 19 out the door for less than $500? Not a new one.

Yes, but several hundred rounds is nothing in a Glock. Many have fewer rounds through them.

I seen blue labels as cheap as $359. If any of you qualify look into. If not Hell become a volunteer firefighter or something to get it…
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.
