I have two minty, fine German combo. guns, both chambered 7x65r. I need load data for these, using RE-26, 150 or 160 Nossie pts. Please post any you may have.

Don't have the book in front of me but Hornady has load data. None with RE-26 that I recall. 4831, RE22, and RL19 I believe. I use that as a basis for my 7x64 loads.

I have the Hornady data, a bit "dated", IMO.

Yup. But reduced 280 data is a good starting point.

At the start of the "Pandemic" it was abundant and inexpensive. Sadly, at that time I was between 7x64's and didn't have the need for the ammo. Recently scored another that was too good a deal to pass on. Ordering brass today.

The 7X65R Barrel on my drilling likes 175 gr best, 40.9 of IMR 4064, and thats Hornadys starting load. IMR 4831 was a close second, I don't remember the charge. Hornady lists IMR 4350 for a 154 gr bullet from 46.9 to a red line of 52.9 I would contact Nosler , or the powder companies for data . It was fun working up loads, but as I said, my Kreighoff liked the heavy bullets.

I just got my #10 and #11 Hornady manuals out of storage, seems like RE=19 is good to go. I will also try RE-22 and RE-26 to see how they do.

FWIW...

51 grains IMR 4831 under Speer 160 BTSP with WW std primers worked best in two of my drillings, a later Kreighoff Trumpf and a late 60's Sauer. Both had 25" (+or-) barrels.

It worked with PRVI, RWS, and Norma brass. I saw little if any velocity or accuracy difference. It also shot real close to the Norma factory 156gr load, printing around 1.5" higher than the Norma at 100 yards, which I attribute to the heavier bullet and a little slower velocity than the 156 Norma Oryx.

Norma lists a MV of 2,780, and my loads were just shy of 2,700 FPS at average ambient temp of 76F.
