Yes, in many ways.
But not all.

I know quite a few people who have made up illnesses.

would you describe , i avoided stepping on cracks when i was a kid.(and my mother's back had nothing to do with it).
lots of superstitious things have roots in OCD.

have you noticed some smokers lit a cigarette but they already know they can't inhale and don't enjoy it and they put it off, is that OCD?

You know, back in the day we didn't know anything about OCD. If someone did something out of the norm we would just say "he's set in his ways"

OCD, BPD, NPD,...

I live with all of it. I dug a fire pit where I burn a lot of the OCD accumulation,...I say "shut da fug up" to the rest of it.

It's just something a man adapts to.

very extreme cases of OCD is always present with other illnesses. Chris Farley is an example. heroin , cocaine ,, alcohol , prostitutes, eating disorder .. he had it all
