These types of investigations take time. Yep, take it from a Texan, it's always better to wait. Got to let these murders run around town for a couple weeks, wait and see if they do it again.... It's just too 'old school' for LEO's to run out and arrest somebody right away just cause the killed 4 people.

It takes time to process a quadruple murder crime scene, it takes time for forensics to return, it takes time to dump cell tower data, receive cell service provider data, interview witnesses, etc. Of course some information can be released, but it needs to be calculated.

There was no sign of sexual assault in the Sunday killings of University of Idaho students Ethan Chapin, 20; Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Kaylee Goncalves, 21, the department said.
No suspect has been identified in the stabbings, the department said.
Two roommates who were home when the four students were killed were cleared as potential suspects, as was a person seen in a video from a late-night food truck video that captured two of the victims before they were found dead, the department said.

i don't understand , six people in the house and no guns? It was apparently a bunch of chicks and (maybe) 1 dude named “Dylan” that lived at the residence. The boyfriend was just staying the night, supposedly. Idaho is full of guns and I packed a Glock 23 pretty much every day to class when I lived there, but lots of kids there don’t own guns at all, let alone take them with them when they leave home for college. I also have a suspicion the victims were drunk as hell and/or passed out so a gun in the nightstand or locked up somewhere wouldn’t have helped much.

Jack DuCoeur was Kaylee Goncalves ex-boyfriend. They had recently broken up. Jack is also an Idaho student, says he missed all the calls because he was asleep. There is so much bad info out there.
Now, supposedly the 911 caller was one of the surviving roommates. Other sources earlier specifically said that it wasn’t.
Most sources are still saying that the original 911 call was to report an unconscious person. Who knows…
