OCD? Is that like Ocasio-Cortez Depression?

I am..........disturbed.

Concerning the difference between man and the jackass: some observers hold that there isn't any. But this wrongs the jackass. -Twain

This.

There are also aspects to it that are beyond the stereotypical symptoms. It can be very difficult to deal with for people and can even effect children.

All the screws in the face plates of the switches and outlet covers in my house are oriented vertical.
Nail clippers, aluminum cross, and buckeye ALWAYS in my left front pocket.
When I tuna fished same lures, same rods, same rod holders.

Some things I couldn't care any less about , but some have to be "right".

Hunted with a guy once who was shooting a single shot .22 rifle. (squirrel hunting)
Dude had one of the little 50 round boxes of .22's. He would shoot, pull the box out of his jacket pocket, open it, get one round, close the box, put it back in his pocket, load the rifle THEN shoot.
EACH shot fired called for the same procedure each time.
I finally took his shells from him, poured the box into his pocket and threw the box down.
When we got back to the truck, I saw that he had picked up the box and was methodically restacking his remaining ammo back into it! 😖

I have to have symmetry too.
The way things are hung on walls or the way furniture is arranged. 😬

My dad taught me about the vertical screws. If I'm out and about and see one not right, I try to turn it.

i don't know of a "right" way, but I put them on according to what I want the washer to accomplish and what material it is against. Many other times it doesn't matter.

I seldom put them on after the nut. laugh

I have always gravitated towards HMIs (Highly Motivated Individuals).

Maybe it is a variant of OCD.

Don't really know... and frankly don't really care.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

That’s not OCD.

OCD is the person that has to brush their teeth twenty times per side and change their tooth brush every twenty days and wipe their ass twenty times. And if they don’t, they fall apart and need meds to bring them back to earth.

Being organized and straightening a picture frame just means you’re organized and don’t like crooked picture frames.
