I have a Howa 300 PRC barrel and would like to get it re-bore to 9.3 x 62, I believe that is .366 dia?

How much does it cost to get a barrel rebored to a different caliber? Seems like it would be cheaper/safer to get a new barrel from Shilen, Lilja etc. built to your spec's. Just asking, because I don't know the cost delta.

I don't think you can do it.The chamber and the case head is too large.

You can cut it back a little, but the issue you have is a 9.3x62 case has a dia. like a 30-06.The 300 PRC case dia. is much larger and the bolt face is too.So even if you rebarreled the rifle, the bolt is still made to fit the larger case.

I agree...

Maybe a .375 H&H instead?

But I am not sure of the H&H taper?

.375 RUM for sure.

JES did a .30-06 for me (1951 Remington 721).

Shoots pretty well...

.270 will work also.

I had to Bob my barrel to get enough meat for threads and a can.

It’s where the prc came from.
