Should have used Winchester Long Beard #4's......

That's a terrible pattern! Way too ragged, needs to be much more uniform.

My father wore a 6" scar on his butt, for most of his life. The scar resulted from a load of rocksalt received in a watermelon patch.

Wind in my hair, Sun on my face, I gazed at the wide open spaces, And I was at home.

I think thatā€™s the result of two rounds. One at fairly close range i.e. the dense patch on the upper, left torso, and another farther away as the perp was fleeing, resulting in the more dispersed hits all the way down to below the waistline.

That was still a standard thing when I was growing up in SE Idaho. I appreciate the black/white nature of it. Venture onto someone elses land, first the dogs start barking, then the shotgun goes off. A few welts that stung like hell taught me boundaries and respect for others' stuff. Only had to have it happen once.

Another landowner wanted to keep motorcycles off his land, so he strung a cable across a well-used trail.

About neck high?

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

Those shots were at long range. Perhaps 30 yards or more. I worked 14 close-range birdshot wounds as a Paramedic, range 10 to 15 feet, inside-the-house, and I took every one of 'em to the morgue.

My cousin (about my age) was shot in the butt with rock salt by an orchard grower for climbing his trees and picking his fruits. He was about seven at the time. My aunt called the Sheriff's Office and reported the shooting, but nothing was done to the guy. This was the 1960s South. Sheriff's Office likely thought the outcome was right.
