You guys that are questioning how a killer killed two people in the same room ever tried to wake up teenagers that have been up all night?

Plus it ain’t like any of the four would have instantly been awake and fully aware of what was going on ready to fight or run.

Not that I have any answers for this horrible situation, but teenagers/very young adults aren’t really known for springing into action in the middle of the night.

A Kabar or bayonet to the chest while someone is asleep probably pretty much incapacitates them. It's not like they're going to hop up off the bed and run around the room squealing and causing a ruckus.

They don't have a weapon but how about more than 1 knife? Stick a knife in one, then leave it there while using the other. It's faster although there's a risk of the 1st person being able to pull it out and use it on you...which might have been done.

Does a knife kill better if you leave it sticking in them?

That was one of the dumbest interviews I've ever heard. The interviewer hasn't a clue what he's talking about and the mother and father, notwithstanding their profound grief, seem to want to know what the police know, because they "deserve it." Without a doubt, it would soon be out to the world on Twitter, Face Book, and You Tube. The killer would know then what the police investigators know.

Homicide investigations, especially of an incident such as this, do not take place like a lot of people think they do. Like they see on the cops-'n'robbers teevee shows. After all, on teevee, it only takes 42 minutes to solve the most heinous murders.

With all due respect to the parents of the murdered kids, when the killer is caught, then the information regarding the investigation will be forthcoming. Until then, patience is required. no matter how frustrating it is.

The two girls killed while sleeping in the same bed- - - - -"friends with benefits", maybe? Several pictures of them sort of suggest they might have a little more than a platonic relationship.
