I think I would like a set of rangefinder binoculars. Currently have for binoculars a pair of 10x42 Steiner Night Hunters. Leica LRF 800 range finder.
For the money $1600 or under give or take. What pair have a good binocular glass and electronics.
Looked on line at the following but have no real hands on experience with any of them.
Steiner Predator
Geovid R
Sig 3000 Kilo
Sig 6k

Help me out if you can

We've got an as new demo of the Leica Geovid 10x42 R - Yards for only $1,299.99

That is the older model. Shops closing them out, from what I have seen. I ended up buying a pair for $1,199.00 locally. At that price, they were a better buy than a set of Vortex Furry 5000 like my buddy has. After comparing the Leica to the Vortex, it was a no brainer. Those of you looking for a very good set of range finding binoculars and don't mind spending just a hair more, look for the new model of Geovid 10x42. They range out to 2,000 yards, instead of 1,200 like the ones shown by Doug.. I told my local shop that I knew what they were doing and I was right. Moving out the old ones to make room for the new model. The newer version sells for about $1,400.00..

If you buy Leica, keep Hamilton Boykin's name and phone # handy. You're gonna need it sooner or later, and will save you mucho time and heartache.

I've had great service from my now 7 year old Geovid HD-R's , never an issue, I'd not hesitate to buy again.

Just shoot a 6.5 Creedmoor...

Rumor has it that are perfect and have zero drop out to 4 miles.

Coues hunting Saturday with my new Fury 5000.
I got ranges out to 3400 yards. Instant returns, has AB software. Glass is better than decent

Mirrors my experience after about 30 days of combined whitetail and mule deer hunting. RF puts the 3 Geovids I had to shame.

I'd go Vortex to be honest and I currently have HD-B's. The Vortex are nearly as good optics wise and the rangefinder on the Vortex is actually better. Plus Vortex is way better with their warranty.

I got my hands on a pair of 10x42 sig kilo6k’s at cabelas last night. Just looking in the store I could not get a solid image. Kept seeing slight double unless I shut one eye. I wish I could of taken them outside but it was dark. Thanks guys keep responding. Ken

Decent glass and good rangefinder.

I know this has been asked before but I don’t remember the answer. Does anyone make a pair of rangefinding binomial with the rangefinder in the left eye? I am almost blind in my right eye so I use a separate range finder. Thanks for any info!

IIRC The first two generations of the El Range had the readout in the left eye.

I have a Gen 2 Swaro EL Range 8x42. Readout is in the left eye, but, the targeting circle is in the right eye.

How do the Vortex 5000 compare at low light with the Alpha glass. I would rather have sharpness, clarity, and good low light gathering than longer ranging capabilities. I have Leicas now and am very happy.

Vortex fury...Love it!

I happen to have 2 LRF binoculars, the Leica 8x32's and the Meopta 10x42's... The Meopta's are "almost" as good optically as the Leica's.... and the RF function is as good, and 1900.00 dollars less expensive.

The Zeiss 8x32's with a vortex rangefinder still gets lots of use, and for about 900.00 bucks for both, are good to go.
