In fact, a lot of Soviet leaders came from Ukraine including Khrushchev and Brezhnev. All you have to look to is current Ukrainian policies to see that Communism is alive & well there. They have banned opposing political parties, closed down all but state media, attached churches and arrested priests. I could go on, but you should do your own research.
