They will probably try to make that your problem.

Your truck getting broken into, at work, during your last days seems like an omen. An omen for retiring & moving.

Wishing you the greatest.

f you enjoy retirement half as much as I do you're winning big time.

They're going to contract me back for a bit of time. I wish them no ill. What I was working on is something I'm most proud of in my career. Something that could really make a difference.

Steve: Sorry to hear about the break-in and minor losses!
YOU... (everyone!) only lives once and your decision to get the flock out of portland will enhance your life and extend your longevity (stress kills!).
Best wishes, again, for your retirement and relocation.
Good work.

I designed and wrote all the SW on the first rev. Also did most of the development of the GPS techniques. Since the first rev another eng wrote a serial interface and I did more SW work. It's a small team. Was just two HW Eng, SW eng (me), Mech Eng, and Lead Eng. Since then another SW eng was added.

Lol, A drone fugger upper, that's pretty cool! I want one of those thing to screw with the kids at the park......

Is what I meant by that was I suspect that by their lack of planning they will try to make it an "emergency" on your part.

Huge money there depending if you are interest in side work/money.

My current job has mentioned some contract work. Will probably do some.

Copy that...

That Drone Interrupter is quite impressive...

Make big coin as a Contractor IMHO... and maybe work in a "Clause" where you are doing traveling demonstrations... Get paid to travels some with your family... Demo the product... Travel some more...

Hike, hunt, fish, site-see... drink some wine... Demo the Drone Interrupter at local PDs etc. Repeat

Paid Gig Vacation... maybe.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

Even if the travel is a lower paying gig... who cares... 100% of your expenses are paid/tax write off.

It would be a great way to travel with your family some... keep a very light schedule.

I could probably set you up with some PDs and the DNR here in Virginia/WV... Kinda thing.
