Godspeed, Boggy. Thoughts and prayers for those left behind; I am sure that he will be missed. He was one of the first to treat me well when I joined the 'fire.

Sorry to hear this Terry. I always enjoyed BCR's contributions to the forum.

I would have liked a chance to meet the cow man from Leon County.

Richard, you can type in the address of the funeral home, or google "Walters funeral home Centerville, Texas"

AMEN! James, aka "Boggy Creek Ranger", aka "Gen Jubilation T. Cornpone", was a good man, a friend, and a bright spot in my life as well as others.

To get a glimpse of his character, see "The Great Texas Coon War" thread; LINK

He will be sorely missed.

He was the best of the best, the cream of the crop. Why'd he have to go instead of some real culls? Life's not fair.

Damn. Boggy was one of the great ones on here, and I’m proud to say that he was a friend. I talked to him many times over the phone, and always enjoyed our conversations.
His post always seemed to have a wisdom and a way of looking at things that I treasured.
He’s up there with Sonny and Ken Howle, and I’m sure he’s getting aquatinted with The Old Man and “Uncle Bud” and some other great people who I miss.
Hell, they maybe hunting rabbits together now.
I know there’s a quote by Washington, who recognized as it he got older, that “God was loosening the ties that bind us in this world, and tying them into the next.”
RIP , my friend. You have touched many of us.
Thanks, Terry, for filling us in.
