I just watched the first episode of 1923. I thought it was better than 1883 or Yellowstone. We'll see how it develops but there's a few interesting story lines starting.
I'm a suckered for the African hunting scenes even if it is trying to copy the ghost and the darkness a bit too much. I won't say more than that so I don't spoil it but the first episode of 1923 is worth a watch.

Bb I'm thinking more Legends of the Fall. It felt more like that to me, as I'm kinda thinking the character was fighting with the Canadians, which would better explain how he ended up in British Africa.

Bb Someone should coach Spencer on how to shoot a rifle. Guns play such an important role in these stories, they could at least have Spencer handle it like he knew what he is doing..

Yellowstone ain't as good this season either...
It's all women's drama, tears, and backstabbing.
There's not been anyone taken to the train station, or any other decent gun scenes, other than the wolf shooting with thermals.
Guess the women took over the show...

Elsa had to die, she was running out of guys to screw.  The actress was great for the part, she had some great scenes, and it was creative to show a western from a young woman’s viewpoint. Overall though, the series sucked, the last couple of episodes were just excruciating. I oughtta know, I bing watched the whole ten hours overnight while visiting my sister in NY State. Well you’re a loser. I believe the current term is “success challenged”, I suppose having cable and a tv and spending hours sitting around watching it is part of success. So I just catch up when visiting kinfolk. Ya know what would have improved 1883? For starters get rid of them Hallmark Comanches and bring in Blue Duck.
