I’m sure will get some bad weather from it out here.

If folks don’t have to work in it, no big deal then eh.

After the ice storm last week from Eugene to Seattle, there's a LOT of people that would argue with you! Friend of mine had 4 (FOUR) cars in his driveway and in his garage, all from failing to make a turn on an inch of ice. The carnage along the I-5 corridor was amazing.

I have sons in Seattle and Tacoma. They've been telling me about all the fun on the roads in that area. The ice covered hills in Seattle were particularly entertaining. The only sensible thing to do is keep the pantry full and hope you don't have to go anywhere. The ice there never lasts more than a couple days. It was 50 yesterday in Seattle so it all melted.

We'll gratefully accept every snowflake, every drop of rain. I fired up the excavator Thursday to dig out a pine stump...10" down dry, dusty dirt. As it is, when we want to make a pot of coffee, we call the neighbor up canyon and ask them to flush their toilet.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

Shasta...31% capacity. Trinity Lake 21% capacity. At this time of year, water regulators like to see 60%. The Delta Smelt may be important, I'm no biologist, but it would seem in a drought...all users would get cut back an equal share...say runoff is 50% of normal, then farmers, and fish should only get 50% of their normal allocation. But that is not how it works by order of the courts...the Delta Smelt still gets a 100%. Were there no droughts before the dams were built?

Going to be interesting to see Lake Powell’s future

Soon to be too low to generate power

Mention of it being drained and reclaiming the canyons it once flooded

The OP link has a map showing the storm covering all of Idaho. I've checked 3 major weather sites and none of them show anything out of the ordinary for the next 10 days.

This can’t be real?
You mean with all the money stolen from us in the name of stopping climate change the dam climate is still changing??
Did the checks bounce?

This could be a huge blessing. There have been times down here in North Louisiana when tropical storms have been a big relief of drought.

Hastings, what is the old saying down South…”it takes a hurricane to break a drought!” Terrible for many but huge blessing for farmers and ranchers.

Maybe this is not anything out of the ordinary?

Looks like a good storm coming to me, and soon.
