He graduated with a two year degree in instrumentation and robotics from ISU. Landed a job doing the same at Simplot in Pocatello and will make $77k a year base with OT eligibility. That’s about the same starting wage as engineering majors; at least around here. His fiancee has three semesters left for her MS and then they want to move to Twin Falls. Kids in his program are bringing in over six figures after 3-5 years experience. Nice to see the lil birdies leaving the nest. 2 down, 2 to go.
Glad he has a good head on his shoulders and didn’t major in some garbage BA degree.

My high school friend did that tech degree at iSU about 30 years ago and to a job in Oregon working in a chip fab at Intel. He retired in his mid 40s 6 or 7 years ago and put everything he had into bitcoin. When bitcoin was up he was worth over 200 million. I'm guessing now he's only worth about 60 million. He did well with that 2 year degree. Bb

Glad to see he’s making his way. I was a winter grad too, last final was December 11, went to work December 15. Been at it ever since. In the right field and with a solid effort he’ll stay employed.
