I have this jeep the longest. Bought in November 1989. I just cleaned it up, original paint. It’s been up at deer lease for a couple months, was filthy. It has 160,000 miles on it, four banger, 112 horses I think.

10 years or so. I used to put a lot of miles on tho and they were wore out or totaled in accident - even the Tacomas.
I no longer put the miles on like I used to (WFH for the win) so I expect the current truck to go 20- should I manage to avoid inattentive idiots on the road.

Still have my '98 Ranger. Step side body with 120K miles, and 5 speed manual. Changed it from a one wheel drive to a posi rear end several years ago. Mostly a great little truck, but still isn't great in snow.

13 years on my last truck. I patched and covered rust as long as feasible, but when the dash cracked it was over.

hanco; Good afternoon to you sir, I hope you're getting weather you need or at least can use down in your section of Texas and you're well.
When we found out my wife was pregnant with our first daughter, we had a Nissan 200SX and found out we couldn't get a child car seat into the back no matter how hard we tried. It had 275,000 on it by then and we traded it for a Husqvarna chainsaw and then wandered up the valley and picked up a '90 Jetta which would have been 3 years old at the time. It had 80,000km on it then if I'm remembering correctly.
Fast forward a bunch of years and we'd tease her that she was going to inherit the only car she knew in our family, that old blue diesel Jetta. She got it for her first ride and took her Learner's License with it even though it was a standard.
When it had 448,000km on it the transmission finally gave up the ghost and it wasn't really worth fixing so we ended up giving it and the title to our VW mechanic as he'd given us so much good service and good deals with it over the 17 years we had it.
That's the longest for us so far, but I'm hoping that the '03 Dodge with a Cummins will be with us longer - we bought it in '09 so it's only 14 years for it.
All the best to you this year.
Dwayne

Longest I’ve owned one was a 1985 BMW 535i (5speed). Purchased in 1988 with 65k miles, sold in 2014 with 288k miles. Sold it for the same money I bought it for. $8k. Should have kept it, it was my wife’s daily for a long time.

I bought my Silverado 3 months before our son was born….he’s 20.5 yrs old. It’s been a fantastic truck and the Chevy 5.3 Vortec has been absolutely bulletproof for 300,000 miles in 3 different vehicles.

I trade at 80-90,000 miles, about every four years. Yes, I know that’s not an economic wise strategy. Have a 19 Silverado with 94,000 miles on it, and a 23 ordered. Ordered the new one last May, still waiting.

I’ve had my current truck the longest. It’s an 05’ Tacoma that I bought in 2011. It’s been a great extremely low maintenance vehicle with 285k miles on it now. I might drive it until it drops but I’m thinking I’ll probably sell it and buy something newer/lower miles this spring.

Dwayne Thank you, just gave my 04 Cummins to grandson, about 218,000 miles, rebuilt front end and two water pumps, 3 set of Michelin radials. That thing will pull my gooseneck and tractor a 100 miles an hour

My truck is a 04 Dodge 2500 5.9 diesel. It runs great, has 180K miles on her. I have no plans to sell my truck. I have had two different people knock on my door asking if I would sell my truck to them.

not mine, but my friend has the pickup his dad bought new in 67. We cleaned it up and he drove it to high school, now his daughter is driving it.

Hanco: My beloved VarmintMobile and exceptionally reliable Dodge Cummins Diesel 4x4 extended cab pickup with 5 speed standard transmission I bought new in 1996 (so 27 years now!). It has 127,000 miles on it. I also have a mint condition 1988 Cadillac Sedan DeVille I bought from a "little old lady" (the original owner) had 8,000 miles on it when I bought it in 1995. It has just over 100,000 miles on it now (never been parked outside!) so 28 years now. I get attached to vehicles - I don't know why. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
