I have this jeep the longest. Bought in November 1989. I just cleaned it up, original paint. It’s been up at deer lease for a couple months, was filthy. It has 160,000 miles on it, four banger, 112 horses I think.
I have had my current truck for 23 years
10 years or so. I used to put a lot of miles on tho and they were wore out or totaled in accident - even the Tacomas.

I no longer put the miles on like I used to (WFH for the win) so I expect the current truck to go 20- should I manage to avoid inattentive idiots on the road.
Still have my '98 Ranger. Step side body with 120K miles, and 5 speed manual. Changed it from a one wheel drive to a posi rear end several years ago. Mostly a great little truck, but still isn't great in snow.
13 years on my last truck. I patched and covered rust as long as feasible, but when the dash cracked it was over.
Cars five to seven years. My chevy pickup, purchased in 08, was used 21,000 miles, now 167,000 miles. 15 years Before this my f150 , new in 92 sold in 09. 17 years. 198,000 miles! Regular maintenance and small repairs. When they start nickle and dime crap there gone.

Good afternoon to you sir, I hope you're getting weather you need or at least can use down in your section of Texas and you're well.

When we found out my wife was pregnant with our first daughter, we had a Nissan 200SX and found out we couldn't get a child car seat into the back no matter how hard we tried. It had 275,000 on it by then and we traded it for a Husqvarna chainsaw and then wandered up the valley and picked up a '90 Jetta which would have been 3 years old at the time. It had 80,000km on it then if I'm remembering correctly.

Fast forward a bunch of years and we'd tease her that she was going to inherit the only car she knew in our family, that old blue diesel Jetta. She got it for her first ride and took her Learner's License with it even though it was a standard.

When it had 448,000km on it the transmission finally gave up the ghost and it wasn't really worth fixing so we ended up giving it and the title to our VW mechanic as he'd given us so much good service and good deals with it over the 17 years we had it.

That's the longest for us so far, but I'm hoping that the '03 Dodge with a Cummins will be with us longer - we bought it in '09 so it's only 14 years for it.

All the best to you this year.

Dwayne
Bought my 1983 Chevy diesel pickup new and installed a Banks turbo system. Gave it to my best friends son in Nov 2022. 500k miles and still going.
Rolled 300k yesterday. Bought new in 2009.

Longest I’ve owned one was a 1985 BMW 535i (5speed). Purchased in 1988 with 65k miles, sold in 2014 with 288k miles. Sold it for the same money I bought it for. $8k. Should have kept it, it was my wife’s daily for a long time.
I bought my Silverado 3 months before our son was born….he’s 20.5 yrs old. It’s been a fantastic truck and the Chevy 5.3 Vortec has been absolutely bulletproof for 300,000 miles in 3 different vehicles.
I bought my 79 Trans am Special Edition (Black & Gold) in 1980 when i was 17 yrs old... Bought my California 55 Bel Air sport coupe in 1988... Still have & drive both (weather permitting)... Brother ordered a new 87 Silverado C10, 350 f.i. 18,000 mi... He also has a 2001 F250 Super Duty Lariat, 7.3 12,000 mi, That he also ordered new... I take care of both...
I trade at 80-90,000 miles, about every four years. Yes, I know that’s not an economic wise strategy. Have a 19 Silverado with 94,000 miles on it, and a 23 ordered. Ordered the new one last May, still waiting.
I’ve had my current truck the longest. It’s an 05’ Tacoma that I bought in 2011. It’s been a great extremely low maintenance vehicle with 285k miles on it now. I might drive it until it drops but I’m thinking I’ll probably sell it and buy something newer/lower miles this spring.

Thank you, just gave my 04 Cummins to grandson, about 218,000 miles, rebuilt front end and two water pumps, 3 set of Michelin radials. That thing will pull my gooseneck and tractor a 100 miles an hour
My truck is a 04 Dodge 2500 5.9 diesel. It runs great, has 180K miles on her. I have no plans to sell my truck.
I have had two different people knock on my door asking if I would sell my truck to them.
67 Mustang, May of 67.
not mine, but my friend has the pickup his dad bought new in 67. We cleaned it up and he drove it to high school, now his daughter is driving it.
Hanco: My beloved VarmintMobile and exceptionally reliable Dodge Cummins Diesel 4x4 extended cab pickup with 5 speed standard transmission I bought new in 1996 (so 27 years now!). It has 127,000 miles on it.
I also have a mint condition 1988 Cadillac Sedan DeVille I bought from a "little old lady" (the original owner) had 8,000 miles on it when I bought it in 1995. It has just over 100,000 miles on it now (never been parked outside!) so 28 years now.
I get attached to vehicles - I don't know why.
Hold into the wind
VarmintGuy
My current truck is a 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 with 125000 miles, but I do have a 1986 cj7 since 2000 it has 225000 miles on it
Ordered my 1996 7.3 F250 CC 2wd in March of 96. Still drive it all the time including to work today.
The longest I have kept a vehicle is my current truck. '03 chevrolet 2500HD with a 6L gasser. I bought itin '05 with 50K on it. Just turned 250K. It is a beater, for sure, but I'll be keeping it as my budget will not allow for a new 3/4ton 4wd pickup.
21 years. 97 F150, drove it for work. 389000 when it left the yard. 3 sets of plugs and clean the EGR return in the intake twice. 1 alternator and 2 belts, brakes and tires etc. No engine work other than the EGR stuff. No transmission or diff issues. Sold it because the interior was deteriorating and needed another set of tires.

$1100.00, still see the mexican that bought it every so often. He drove it to Mexico and back!
I was scared to leave the yard on it....
Bought a new '99 Silverado Z71. Sold it in 2020 with 280k miles. Rusty but mechanically excellent. Still drove like new. Never touched the 5.3 engine. Replaced front driver's side wheel bearing and fuel tank straps. Loved that truck.
10 years, 250K. Then it's time to send it on somewhere else.
My summer time farmer pickup is an '03 F350 with 180k miles.

My wife's Ford Explorer is a 2011 with 30k miles.

We've owned both vehicles for 11 years and I expect to get a few more out of each one.
I bought a 1979 Ford F-150 4WD pickup and kept it through 3 motors, 300 CI 6's, until around 2005 or thereabouts. It had sat for the last 5 or more years. I treated it pretty rough after the new wore off, using it on the farm.

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 4WD that I used on my rural mail route until I got a right hand drive Jeep Cherokee. The Ranger has 196,000 miles on it, and I still drive it pretty regular, using it as my hunting truck and on the farm. I had to replace the transmission at about 130,000, but the 4.0 engine is still a good one.

Is it in running condition?

2007 Tacoma, new to present. Currently at 232,000 miles and I've done next to nothing to it. I expect to leave it to one of the grandkids.
I bought my 77 FORD High boy in 78. Still going. Can't beat Wabi.
70 Dodge truck until 1985. 1985 Ford POS until 2018. 1998 Dodge Diesel until 2018. Both Toyota Tacomas ,my wife has had or has, 20+ years for thr first one . Working on 20 for the second ones.
I usually only keep a rig 10 to 15 years. But they are ten to 20 years old when I buy them.

01 GMC 2500 HD 4x4. I have owned almost two years.
02 Honda Accord. I bought it a year ago.
Momma's 05 Durango, we have owned it about six years. At 250K, it will be the first to be disposed of.
I had a piss yellow 1984 Nissan 720 King Cab 4x4 for 21 years. I drove it until 1990 and then my parents used it until my Mother passed in 2004. I got a good deal from the dealer in Manhattan, KS, 'cause nobody seemed to want a yellow truck and the dealer wanted it off the lot before January 1st 1984.

It was a good truck, wish that I could buy it new today for what I paid for it new in 12/83.
Currently......

Still have my '02 Chevy 2500HD crew gasser w/139K miles

Bought new in May '02.....pampered heated garage life......serviced on time all the time

Two most recent jobs.....all new pads/rotors.....water pump....belts/hoses/coolant etc

Over the years.....plugs....coolant flushes...trans service.....tires/wheels

All my vehicles are old....'01 LC.....'03 LX.....'11 GX (newest)
2007 Lexus IS250. Bought it used in early 2008 with 7,200 miles. Now has 230,000 miles. It is still a joy to drive.
My 2000 F250 has 260,000 miles on it and still going strong.
17 years. Nissan Altima 170,000 miles.
Still drive my 1998 4runner purchased new, it has over 260,000 miles on it. My 2002 F250 Super Duty was purchased new and has 134,000+ miles on it. The 2014 Toyota Highlander purchased new has 202,000+ miles on it and going strong.

Now my wife does have a 2004 Corvette we purchased used in 2008 with only 5251 miles on it and today has a little over 27,000 miles on it, it is her summer car.

We keep our cars a long time
17 years in my Dodge CTD. It gets used mainly for hunting/fishing/camping and has 90k miles on it. I’m not interested in a new one. My work truck is a 2018 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi. Great truck and the gas is free so I mostly use it.
That would be my 1999 4WD F-150 that resides in Idaho. I bought it new when we lived in Kansas. It has 115k miles and runs like it did when new.
Both our pickups left the factory in 2000, and we bought both used in 2004. One is a Tacoma that had 44,000 on it, and now had 242,000. The other is an F350 that had 66,000 on it, and now has 172,000. Both are running great.

19 yrs for my 2003 F150 and just use it for a beat around truck. 230,000 miles
I still have my '92 Toyota pu. 355K miles and drove it today.
Good thing am old - I guess - seem to keep them a looonnng time, and gather old ones as well. Have owned the 67 Corvette for 53 years and the Dodge Ram 2500 4wd for 23 years - it is at 350k miles and sits a lot while waiting to go to work.

A few guys here have seen some of the other oldies and, sad to say, I had to start sending some elsewhere. Gone are the 1952 Mack LTL, the 55 year old Chev C80 fire truck, the 52 year old Chev C30 wrecker, and seven others. Still have a number of 50+ year old Chev trucks and a very nice 20 year old Chev 2500HD Duramax/Allsion originally owned by a rather well-known Campfire guy.

Call it fortunate.
23 years on my Z71.178,000 miles on it and still going strong.

What model is the '37? What sort of shape is it in these days?
Current rigs are one-owner, '89 S-10 and a '01 Excursion. Sold my '85 Chevy van a couple years ago.
Ford Ranger was bought Dec. 27, 2005, 17 years now, longest I’ve ever kept a vehicle. Kept in the garage all these years, 82K miles.
!996 T-100 that I bought new.. Regulated as a hunting truck now.. 397,000 miles and still runs strong...

We usually keep a pickup about 20 years, a car about 12 years.

Bought a 94 Chevy 2500 4x4 Silverado extended cab new. Sold it in 2016. I had bought my 2013 Tundra new and wasn't using it as much.

Finally gave my '98 Tacoma extended cab 4x4 to my oldest daughter this year feb '22. I bought it used though. They are still using it. Replaced it with a 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road, a double cab.

Our cars don't stay with us as long. In 2017 we bought a Subaru and gave the 2004 Camry to my DIL. They finally sold it this year and got a 2023 Highlander.
I trade about every 5 years for mine and the wife's. Usually her's is a year newer than mine.
Been doing this for about 30 years. Get rid of them usually with 60K on the odometer, I find I get the most out of my trade-in with that mileage.
Right now she drives a 2018 GMC Terrain, I just got my new 2022 Lincoln Aviator .
I recently did sell my Summer car that I had kept the longest of any vehicle I've owned over the past 60 years. I was an 2003 BMW Z4, had it for 17 years, bought new and sold in 2020 with 77K miles, car looked new, sold in one day. I did go out and buy another summer fun car, this one was already 10 years old w/ 50K on it, but driving it only 5 months a year, it should be the last one. It's a 2010 Jaguar.
I think both the wife and I have bought our last vehicles, Her 2018 GMC has only 28K on it, and after 9 months my Aviator has 7K. At 78, I don't see a reason to buy a new one in 5 more years.

Most don't realize what great trucks those T100s are. I have a 97 4x4 5spd manual with 230,000 miles on it but I've only owned it for about 6 years.

I had 2 T-100’s. The second one, 1996 model, was the best truck I ever owned. Drove it till it died, and it died on the dealership lot. I traded it in 2009 on my Tacoma I have now.
Y'all don't drive very much.
22 years on my old gmc work van that i just sold and 16 years so far on my duramax pickup
Still driving my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 350,000 miles......

It's on its 5th or 6th set (I lost count) of Bridgestone Duelers............
Bought a 1971 Camero in 1983, still have it. Odometer was broken at ~150k when I bought it which, judging by the interior, would have been about right. Stripped it to the frame in 1983 to clean the rust off and it's been somewhat babied since.

The longest regular use car was a 2000 Honda Civic. It was rusting pretty bad by 2018 and was at the point I was thinking of replacing it when the timing belt went. Had 275,000 miles on it. Was told afterward the belt should be replaced at 150k but considering how much salt is used on MN roads in the winter and how quickly cars rust out, that would have just meant extra cost for roughly the same miles.

The longest truck/SUV was a tie between a 2000 Chevy 3500 4x4 crew cab with 8' box and a 2002 GMC Yukon. I had the Chevy until 2018 when it got to the point the window lifts rusted out dropping the window all the way into the door. The body was rusting pretty bad and replacement panels and doors were difficult to find and in poor shape when found. The 350 CID engine had 225k miles on it and could have used some refreshing.

The Yukon was junked in the summer of 2020 when the brake line gave in to rust. As did the body. And the A/C. And the sun roof began to leak. A lot. The window lift on the driver's door rusted out like the Chevy though I was able to pull the glass up and wedge it into place. We got our use out of it though, had better than 200k miles on it.
52 years…

I have owned my truck since 2006

My car, the newest vehicle I own, is a 2013
I've got a 1962 Chevy one ton that I bought in 1978 for three hundred dollars. It's gotten a little rusty over the years and is now in pieces. I'm going to restore it and change out the six cup for a 350.
Truck, 2006. Car, Ford Escape 2015. Van, Honda Odyssey 2013. All in great shape. None on the sell/trade block. Total mileage 250K.
I bought my daily driver new in 03

Ram 1500 4x4
My off road "Tank" is a 1971 3/4 ton 4x4 Dodge with 385,000 miles and in perfect mechanical condition!
I kept my 2000 F250 from July 2000 to December 30th, 2021. My wife's Honda Accord from 03 to 2013. My travel trailer from 1992 to 2003. My current trailer from 2006 to now.
2003 Chevy Duramax. Bought new. I’m still on title but my oldest son has it now. He loves that truck! CLose to 200k on it now. Regular maintenance, nothing major. Interior and exterior are a bit tired but mechanically it’s still strong as the day it was new.

'37 2-door coupe, it's in my shop, covered for the winter.

Drove my brand new 2009 Toyota Tacoma off the dealer lot on Aug. 30th, 2008. So by this coming August it'll make 15 years that I've driven it. Right now it's about 20 something miles away from hitting 296 thousand miles. Those Toyota 4 cylinder motors amaze me. Even with that many miles it uses less than a quart of oil between the 5000 mile changes and has never leaked a drop. Water pump got replaced at about 160 thou and it needed a new alternator last February. Planning on looking at new Tacomas this coming year
I bought a Chevy 4x4 new in 1976. I mainly used it for hunting as most of the time I had another truck. One of my grandsons got it in 2017 after 40 years with only about 170,000 miles on it.
Traded in my 09 GMC in May, 155K miles, tranny giving trouble. I usually keep them about 10 years 150/180 K miles. My primary wheels so need to be dependable.
1987 Chevy short bed 4WD. 350 TBI manual transmission. Kept it 33 years. Needed a little work and was going to sell it. So then my 29 yo daughter started whining about keeping it in the family yada yada yada and I gave it to her. It’s running again and found a happy home.

Side note. She and my son were very young when they, their mom and I parked in a clear cut in an LA hunting lease and watched Haley’s Comet fly by.
Had my 1998 Chevy Silverado 4X4 for 16 years put 256K on it. I still see it on the road every now and then.
Never gotten rid of anything.
Above said my two favorites date from 1970 and 1973.
Last new car I bought? When I got divorced in 1987. I bought a 1988 4Runner, that had 2 miles on it... I still have it 35 years later.. It has 590,000 miles on it...and I'd get in it and take it cross country and back with no worries.. as long it is not in winter. Don't want road salt on the body!

My personal other cars, that I drive? 06 Pilot, 318,000 miles on it.. 08 Carmy 187,000 miles on it... 11 Tacoma. 168,000...

I don't want this newer stuff.. hard to work on, more complicated and doesn't get my ass from point A to point B any better than what I have now..
I keep them running, and buy a used reliable vehicle when make another purchase...

Usually just give my vehicles away to someone in need, when I replace them... as they are still running well...

When I bought the 06 Camry, paid $6K for it... 120K on the odometer, I was replacing a 1994 Camry with 360K on the clock...gave it to a mom, with a dope smoking, couch sitting, Play Station Commando for a husband, with no job, and 4 kids at home....She was taking classes over at the college in the automotive dept, she is now a service writer at one of our local larger care dealerships...
28 years. My 1955 F-100
So far my longest was a ‘97 Jeep Wrangler I had for 21 years.
We run 10 years or so on our cars and trucks, once they start to rust out (road salt) or nickle and dime us,we donate them .
My previous truck a 2004 Dakota 4x4 I bought new I kept it 14 years and 350,000 miles before I bought my current Truck a 2018 Colorado ZR2 that is now 5 years old and 93,000 miles.

The ZR2 runs great but the new 2023 Colorado and GMC Canyon when it finally comes out later this year will be bigger 10" wider and 3" longer and I am thinking of pre-ordering a Canyon AT4
1998 Jeep ZJ 4L six w/234k, 1999 GMC Suburban 350 small block w/197k. Both run ok.
Bought my '93 Cherokee from the original owner when it was 10 years old, and I drove it for 13 years. Gave it to my mechanic to salvage for parts for his son's Cherokee. Wasn't much useable on it by then.
Bought a 1994 ford f250 powerstroke new and am still driving it today, 255,000 miles. I've driven this for more than half my life!!!
That is really nice, but looks like the rear wheel/susp/spring setup is not '37. Thanks.

I've had my hunting truck, a 94 yukon 2 door for 17 years. It has just over 100k miles on it and the old 350 still runs great. It spends most of its time in rough country and has got me home from some tough spots. I love it and would part with my new f150 before I would it.

Bb
Had an 85 Silverado that my dad bought new. I got it in 2000 and sold it in 2014.
I kept my 1991 Toyota (Hilux) 4x4 Extracab pickup from October 1990 until April 29, 2011. 20.5 years.

We kept our 1998 Ford Windstar from April 1998 until May 2009. 11 years.

We have kept our 2009 Toyota RAV4 until now. 14 years.

We have kept our 2011 Ford F150 4x4 until now. Almost 12 years.

Both the RAV4 and the F150 are in fantastic shape and only have 170,000kms. We’ll be driving them for a lot more time. When they are no longer reliable or so rusty we can’t bear looking at them, we’ll replace them.
My last truck was 14 years old when I sold it.
Some of you all keep vehicles a long time.
1966 Ford Fairlane dad bought new. Still sitting in the garage today.
10-12 years seems about normal for a daily driver around my house, before we add a new one. Still might be running fairly okay when it gets sold off. Some have been kept or donated to family members for use as chore/hunting vehicles that see non-daily use. Our spare vehicle at the moment is our 12yr old Highlander with about 210K and it still runs great. Most of the higher mileage and older vehicles we've had were models noted for above-average longevity (Honda/Toyota sedans and SUVs, Toyota 4wd trucks). We have a fairly new F150 and Camry at the moment and hope to run them for 250k or 12+ years, assuming we can still buy gasoline at that point.....
Current eldest is our 04 Hoe. 19 years
Gonna run it til it won't run no mo.
This 48 Jeep has been on the farm since the Summer of 48, it's in a shop being rebuilt.[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]
we bought my Wife's 4-Runner new in 1997. It has 166,000 miles on it.

I've got an '04 TRD Tacoma that I bought in '06 with 18,000 miles on it. It now has 198,000 miles on it.

Virgil B.
Until you cannot trust them or repair them. Gas engines have gone 450K miles.

Oldest we have kept? 1951 or 54, I forget, dodge truck.

If its running its good.

We have sold some. Generally over 250K miles. Have also replaced engines and transmissions at times.

10.5 years for me. 2002 F250 7.3 diesel. I needed a truck to haul my boats and carry all my stuff to art shows and truck did a great job on each count. Sold it when we moved out of Alaska.
105,000 miles and one front steering stabilizer was changed. Still had original brakes.
Wifes Expedition we had for almost 6 years.
Others I owned dont seem to last too long. I like newer, prettier, and faster.
I had a Ford Expedition EL for 10 years. 2007 to 2017. Had 115k on it when I traded it in. Bought this Silverado in 2017 got 75k on it now.
I’m a year late on trading it in based on my thoughts when I bought it. Probably trade sometime this summer. Probably trade into a GMC this time around.

It’s the rule of chlstractor and Wabigoon. Take pics of nothing remarkable.
The longest I kept a truck, at least sort of kept it was 12 years on a 2003 F-250 4WD. Bought it in 03, sold it to my business in 06, sold the business in 09, bought the business back in 13, let my ops manager drive it for 2 more years and it finally gave out. So 12 years.

73 ford galaxy 500 351w bought new. Was still driving it 50 miles a day to work when hurricane Floyd washed it down the river in 99. Had over 200k on the rebuild and over 500k total it was rusty and worn out but still dependable

I had a 69 swinger, medium green just like the 70 or 71 pictured above.
Toyota FJ40 23 years.
Harley Davidson 27 years
I traded my 2005 Siverado last month. 109K and it was 18 years old. Had it 17.5 years. Traded for a 2019 F150 XLT crew cab with the 2.7 engine with 42K on it.
I bought a 1984 Ford in May of ‘84…..special order for my possible relocation to Wyoming. Sold it about 5 years ago……still have some regrets at selling it! It simply needed more work than I had time or money to invest in it! memtb
Got this one new in may '98....

50 years.
My first car. 1973 1/2 ton Chevy van, bought it brand new for $3,300 in January of 1973.
It’s become my elk antler storage unit.
It will start, run and idle but needs new plugs I think. That’s on my “to-do list” this coming Summer.
Oh the adventures and stories that van has been a part of. Kind of famous among my oldest friends.
We had a '76 T-bird, I think the last of the big boats. Man, what a car! FIL gave it to us in 84 or so with 150K.

We finally got rid of it, still running, but going through fluids by the gallon, in 1993 or so, 320K on it, original engine, 2nd transmission(put in by FIL before giving it to us).

My last pickup was a 90 Chev 3500 - got rid of that 2 or 3 years ago, 220K. Currently driving a 2003 Ram 3500 bought with 33K, in 05, 125K on it now.. My Fairbanks son is driving two of our old rigs - a 95 Taurus, and a 97 Expedition.
2001 F250 Super Duty Extended Cab diesel 4x4. Bought new in 01 sold it in 21. Before that a 91 Bronco that I kept for 10 years. My new Toyota FourRunner bought new in late 20, might be my last if it lasts like the Fords.
A 1978 Toyota Landcruiser. Still own it, but it's not seeing much use. Just enough to keep the battery up. About 105K miles.

Only take it places where the F350 long bed crew cab won't fit.

Other than that, I have an '11 F250 I bought new in Mar of '12 with 216K on it.
What model is the '37? What sort of shape is it in these days?[/quote
'37 2-door coupe, it's in my shop, covered for the winter.

Rear-end is ‘57 Chevy. 406 small-block, 5-Spd Tremec.
Cool!!
Got a Jeep FC150 in 1976 and still have it.
03 Dodge Ram 5.9 traded in for 2019 F150 had 375K
I drive two 21yr olds.One I bought new,the other I bought 2.5yrs ago.

Poor Little Fella. Must suck to have so many living RENT FREE in your pointy little head.
Life must Really Suck for you. 😂😂😂
In the winter of 1980 my logger BIL bought a Chev 3/4t 4x4 for a boss pickup, drove it for 2 or 3 yrs passed it on to his loader operator who drove it for several yrs, BIL gave it to me, I kept it for a couple yrs as a utility pu, gave it to my son who used it logging for 16 yrs or so, parked now waiting for 4 more yrs when grandson gets it...curious as to how long this can go on. They weren't all that great when they were new.
I got my 2001 model 4x4 Toyota Tundra in 2008 with 15,000 on the odometer. It now has 87,000. It will be in my estate sale if my family doesn't want to keep it. Trucks are so outrageous these days, I'll never have another one similar to it if this one gets destroyed.

35 yrs 1986 Buick Regal and 1986 Honda Super Magna. Bought them both when a graduated High School in 1988

Then we have, Jack Benny's Maxwell.
My 88 4Runner turned 35 years old in Sept of 22.... 590K on it at the moment...odometer when I bought it read 000,002.

2200RE, 5 speed manual... SR 5 model...

Now my wife does have a 2004 Corvette we purchased used in 2008 with only 5251 miles on it and today has a little over 27,000 miles on it, it is her summer car.

We keep our cars a long time

Must be a Virginia thing....

even tho I live in Oregon, I'm from Southwestern VA/Southeast WVa area ( Born in Bluefield)....If I add the mileage of everything, registered and parked on the property, and insured ( used regularly) all combined we have a total of 1 million 410,000 miles approximately on the vehicles my family uses on a regular basis... newest is a 2011 Tacoma.. oldest is an 88 4Runner... last vehicle I bought new in life...still running fine..

Id take anyone of these vehicles cross country and back, with out even worrying about them...

Why buy a new $50,000 vehicle, when what I have are cheaper to insure, over all do well on fuel mileage, are cheap to repair and maintain, especially compared to new vehicles...and the bodies are still in great shape...
Longest is my 2000 Silverado.
I've kept a car or a truck since I was 16 so.... 36 years and counting 😁
1996 Dodge dually with an 8.0l v10.
This June, we'll have it 23 years.
We use it now for the dirty work, instead of our 2002 Ford F350, with Banks powered 7.3l.
I bought my 2007 Tundra in 2010 and I've had my 65 Mustang for 35 years.

You still digging for pics of that 67 Mustang?

Or are you gonna go ‘blanket’ on us ?
I trade the Wife's every 5 years and mine every 10 years.
The longest I’ve kept a rig is my 1956 Chevy 210 2D HT. I bought it from the original owner in 1976 and still have it today. 62k mikes on it now.
How about Jack Benney's Maxwell?
2010 f150, 5.4 322k km. Had 36k km when i bought it in '12. It's getting rough.
Had a 99 F 150 I bought new and sold last year.
I have a 2005 excursion with 208k miles still running strong. A 2006 f350 power stroke with 161k and a 2007 Expedition with 277k. They may not look too good but they run good
Around 400k on my old 2000 Dodge Cummins. Lots of maintenance and costs but compression in engine is 480psi per cylinder which is remarkable.

My 450 or 550 works trucks are replaced annually so basically constantly new.
