The longest I kept a truck, at least sort of kept it was 12 years on a 2003 F-250 4WD. Bought it in 03, sold it to my business in 06, sold the business in 09, bought the business back in 13, let my ops manager drive it for 2 more years and it finally gave out. So 12 years.

73 ford galaxy 500 351w bought new. Was still driving it 50 miles a day to work when hurricane Floyd washed it down the river in 99. Had over 200k on the rebuild and over 500k total it was rusty and worn out but still dependable

I traded my 2005 Siverado last month. 109K and it was 18 years old. Had it 17.5 years. Traded for a 2019 F150 XLT crew cab with the 2.7 engine with 42K on it.

I bought a 1984 Ford in May of ‘84…..special order for my possible relocation to Wyoming. Sold it about 5 years ago……still have some regrets at selling it! It simply needed more work than I had time or money to invest in it! memtb

50 years.
My first car. 1973 1/2 ton Chevy van, bought it brand new for $3,300 in January of 1973.
It’s become my elk antler storage unit.
It will start, run and idle but needs new plugs I think. That’s on my “to-do list” this coming Summer.
Oh the adventures and stories that van has been a part of. Kind of famous among my oldest friends.

We had a '76 T-bird, I think the last of the big boats. Man, what a car! FIL gave it to us in 84 or so with 150K.
We finally got rid of it, still running, but going through fluids by the gallon, in 1993 or so, 320K on it, original engine, 2nd transmission(put in by FIL before giving it to us).
My last pickup was a 90 Chev 3500 - got rid of that 2 or 3 years ago, 220K. Currently driving a 2003 Ram 3500 bought with 33K, in 05, 125K on it now.. My Fairbanks son is driving two of our old rigs - a 95 Taurus, and a 97 Expedition.
The only true cost of having a dog is its death.
