I've got a 1962 Chevy one ton that I bought in 1978 for three hundred dollars. It's gotten a little rusty over the years and is now in pieces. I'm going to restore it and change out the six cup for a 350.

2003 Chevy Duramax. Bought new. I’m still on title but my oldest son has it now. He loves that truck! CLose to 200k on it now. Regular maintenance, nothing major. Interior and exterior are a bit tired but mechanically it’s still strong as the day it was new.

I have the '37 Chevy my dad bought summer of 67 for $50 from the local wrecking yard. Other than that, I have an '11 F250 I bought new in Mar of '12 with 216K on it. What model is the '37? What sort of shape is it in these days? '37 2-door coupe, it's in my shop, covered for the winter.

Drove my brand new 2009 Toyota Tacoma off the dealer lot on Aug. 30th, 2008. So by this coming August it'll make 15 years that I've driven it. Right now it's about 20 something miles away from hitting 296 thousand miles. Those Toyota 4 cylinder motors amaze me. Even with that many miles it uses less than a quart of oil between the 5000 mile changes and has never leaked a drop. Water pump got replaced at about 160 thou and it needed a new alternator last February. Planning on looking at new Tacomas this coming year

I bought a Chevy 4x4 new in 1976. I mainly used it for hunting as most of the time I had another truck. One of my grandsons got it in 2017 after 40 years with only about 170,000 miles on it.

1987 Chevy short bed 4WD. 350 TBI manual transmission. Kept it 33 years. Needed a little work and was going to sell it. So then my 29 yo daughter started whining about keeping it in the family yada yada yada and I gave it to her. It’s running again and found a happy home.
Side note. She and my son were very young when they, their mom and I parked in a clear cut in an LA hunting lease and watched Haley’s Comet fly by.

Had my 1998 Chevy Silverado 4X4 for 16 years put 256K on it. I still see it on the road every now and then.

Last new car I bought? When I got divorced in 1987. I bought a 1988 4Runner, that had 2 miles on it... I still have it 35 years later.. It has 590,000 miles on it...and I'd get in it and take it cross country and back with no worries.. as long it is not in winter. Don't want road salt on the body!
My personal other cars, that I drive? 06 Pilot, 318,000 miles on it.. 08 Carmy 187,000 miles on it... 11 Tacoma. 168,000...
I don't want this newer stuff.. hard to work on, more complicated and doesn't get my ass from point A to point B any better than what I have now.. I keep them running, and buy a used reliable vehicle when make another purchase...
Usually just give my vehicles away to someone in need, when I replace them... as they are still running well...
When I bought the 06 Camry, paid $6K for it... 120K on the odometer, I was replacing a 1994 Camry with 360K on the clock...gave it to a mom, with a dope smoking, couch sitting, Play Station Commando for a husband, with no job, and 4 kids at home....She was taking classes over at the college in the automotive dept, she is now a service writer at one of our local larger care dealerships...
