My previous truck a 2004 Dakota 4x4 I bought new I kept it 14 years and 350,000 miles before I bought my current Truck a 2018 Colorado ZR2 that is now 5 years old and 93,000 miles.

The ZR2 runs great but the new 2023 Colorado and GMC Canyon when it finally comes out later this year will be bigger 10" wider and 3" longer and I am thinking of pre-ordering a Canyon AT4

Bought my '93 Cherokee from the original owner when it was 10 years old, and I drove it for 13 years. Gave it to my mechanic to salvage for parts for his son's Cherokee. Wasn't much useable on it by then.

That is really nice, but looks like the rear wheel/susp/spring setup is not '37. Thanks.

What model is the '37? What sort of shape is it in these days?[/quote
'37 2-door coupe, it's in my shop, covered for the winter.

I've had my hunting truck, a 94 yukon 2 door for 17 years. It has just over 100k miles on it and the old 350 still runs great. It spends most of its time in rough country and has got me home from some tough spots. I love it and would part with my new f150 before I would it.

I kept my 1991 Toyota (Hilux) 4x4 Extracab pickup from October 1990 until April 29, 2011. 20.5 years.

We kept our 1998 Ford Windstar from April 1998 until May 2009. 11 years.

We have kept our 2009 Toyota RAV4 until now. 14 years.

We have kept our 2011 Ford F150 4x4 until now. Almost 12 years.

Both the RAV4 and the F150 are in fantastic shape and only have 170,000kms. We’ll be driving them for a lot more time. When they are no longer reliable or so rusty we can’t bear looking at them, we’ll replace them.

10-12 years seems about normal for a daily driver around my house, before we add a new one. Still might be running fairly okay when it gets sold off. Some have been kept or donated to family members for use as chore/hunting vehicles that see non-daily use. Our spare vehicle at the moment is our 12yr old Highlander with about 210K and it still runs great. Most of the higher mileage and older vehicles we've had were models noted for above-average longevity (Honda/Toyota sedans and SUVs, Toyota 4wd trucks). We have a fairly new F150 and Camry at the moment and hope to run them for 250k or 12+ years, assuming we can still buy gasoline at that point.....

Until you cannot trust them or repair them. Gas engines have gone 450K miles.

Oldest we have kept? 1951 or 54, I forget, dodge truck.

If its running its good.

We have sold some. Generally over 250K miles. Have also replaced engines and transmissions at times.

10.5 years for me. 2002 F250 7.3 diesel. I needed a truck to haul my boats and carry all my stuff to art shows and truck did a great job on each count. Sold it when we moved out of Alaska.
105,000 miles and one front steering stabilizer was changed. Still had original brakes.
Wifes Expedition we had for almost 6 years.
Others I owned dont seem to last too long. I like newer, prettier, and faster.

I had a Ford Expedition EL for 10 years. 2007 to 2017. Had 115k on it when I traded it in. Bought this Silverado in 2017 got 75k on it now.
I’m a year late on trading it in based on my thoughts when I bought it. Probably trade sometime this summer. Probably trade into a GMC this time around.
