Do you have a good quality water filter? Some lakes aren't fit to drink from as is and dehydration is much more likely than starvation.

Do you have a good quality water filter? Some lakes aren't fit to drink from as is and dehydration is much more likely than starvation. Just drink it...water borne parasites etc will kill you far later than dehydration. "Worry about infection later." Ymmv
