No one mentioned Sam Elliot or did I miss it?

My mom (God bless her soul) LOVED Charlton Heston - ever since the Ten Commandments. In 2000, he and Wayne LaPuke were stumping for Bush. They made the circuit near our hometown. My mom heard about it and said she just had to see Charlton. We arranged to make the rally and were in the 4th row. My mom wasn't as passionate about the NRA backed rally as she was seeing "Moses". When he came out to speak, mom - 75 years young and all of 4'10" tall - stood up on her folding chair and yelled "hi Charlton!". He paused and acknowledged her. Later, he even signed an autographed photo and gave it to her.

Good of him to do so. That’s a neat story.

Denzel might be one of the very best. So good that I can't freaking stand him, & that's probably from him playing a villain so well.

A black guy told me I didn't like him because he was black. And I told him quickly that didn't have a damn thing to do with it as Samuel Jackson was a favorite actor & he was a liberal POS. just talking acting, not color.

I'm a bit surprised I was the only one to name Dabney Coleman.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

This is a tough question to answer- a lot like the thread about the best football player..

Robert Duvall is a consummate actor- even in some of his more minor roles I sometimes find on cable... and there are a lot of other actors I could recite here but the one I always remember is Denzel Washington.. his role in "Man on Fire" cemented it for sure for me, but he has been in several others that I could watch over and over...

Tom Hanks.
From big to castaway, forest Gump, road to perdition and the green mile and many many more he has done well performing his role.

Edward Norton

Have seen but very little of his work so I didn''t mention him. But saw him in a love story or light dama type thing, & then................in American History X, immediately told me that he was a very good& versatile actor. Good gosh, just a couple of his scenes alone in AHX make the movie worth watching again.

Ed Norton and Ralph Kramden were awesome.

They shouldn't have killed his character! A follow up movie would have been awesome!
