You're doing good.

I'd be at death's door by now.

Been filling up some old stump holes, shoveling off a pile of dirt left over from a driveway project a few years back. Its amazing how much dirt a rotting stump hole will eat over a year or so. 4 or 5 loads in the old Kawasaki Mule and I'm cooked. Damn a rotten spine.

Hope the rest of your job goes well without anymore hidden crappy work.

Scrap pipe and soda bottles in the ditch is poor.
Most my ditches get about 10% beer bottles for backfill.

A sharpie works pretty well for writing special messages on the PVC too.

Terlets not flushing worth a fuuuk .
Bowed sewer line water trap, collapsed side walk over the bowed area.
Dumb fuuuks doing halfazzed schit long ago.

And I'm getting main house line blasted out also.

Slow flow and terlets not flushing worth a fugg could also be a clogged vent. Bird nest on top or in the pipe, or even a dead bird in the pipe. Lack of air behind the flush creates a vacuum, kinda like a gas can without a vent. Seems like you def had a sag in the line, which needed fixed, but it sure would suck to do all of this and not fix it...
I was aware of the vents.
But not thinking this.
Thanks for a mental trigger.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Probably ought to get up on the roof .
Bring the snake up and a flash light and just punch em to check also.

You can get by with a flash light and a garden hose. Look down in them with a light, if you can't see any obstruction they are probably good to go. Flush them with a garden hose to make sure. If the water goes down, you're good.

Personally I'd add a sight "T" at each end of the line in the yard so you never have to do this exploratory work again... You be able to take the cap off and look down in there to see if it flows. One at the house end and one at the street end. Just my opinion...

I sure could go for some $2.50/gal gas and a mean tweet!

Scored a solid 4' pc of 4" pvc, $20 ,that's a win for the day,lol
Those fernco fittings are common for joining 2 bald ends of pipe or making a slip type connection.
Check the 2 sides of it to see if the house side settled,if they didn't bed it properly it may have and could be the problem.

Your almost there,,,,,

Change up in plan.
Yanking both toilets tommorow
Replacing wax rings.
And clean out the pipes from the toilets to the main.
About 3.5 to 4 ft each length.

Go to hardware city see if they got a flex rod bore brush sort of thing I can shove down and scrub out those pipes to the main.
I bet the women toliet has a buncha fuuuuked up schit in their pipes...
Hair, ragtime schit, cotton balls, dental floss.
🤦‍♂️
Those 2 are infamous for that schit.
Was even worse when the other 2 daughters were home.

Can't tell them fuuuking pinhead women schit.
Fuuukers just gonna do it anyways..

Right next to some rubber connector bullshit.
Used it as a spacer to give the pipe some right flex I'm guessing wedged against that old pipe to the left.
Some half azzed schit ad nauseum.....

JFC...
Gonna clean the trench up like the rest of the pipe.
Tap the fuuuk out for the day.
Just getting aggravated now.
And then you make mistakes.
Don't wanna fuuk up the pipe before it gets all pulled out in one shot..
Start this digging again tommorow afternoon with a fresh mind and not all pissed off like I am right now.

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😖🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Rubber is a Fernco, nothing wrong with them.

Same style as a lot of the newer type install kits if one is tapping a sewer service into an existing main. Used a bunch of them when replacing sections of old clay pipe and joining pvc in or when adding a backflow preventer.

How far from house to city main?

Dig more tommorow sometime.
I'm gonna reach that fuuuking city line hook up....

And then do this fuuking schit as right as I can get it and not this half azzed bull schit I been dealing with...

One of the things I hated about working in the civilian world after I retired from the Army.

Half azzed fuuking schit work and acceptable to people in charge...
Then fuuking guys that work good and get schit done right the 1st time get fuuking tasked all the time , while others getting the same pay get the fuuuk over constantly.
I got fuuking tired of civilian employers taking advantage of my sense of responsibility and do schit right once and not do stoopid schit a second time unfuuuking schit...

JFC.....

That Fernco is a weak link.

Maybe if they're not installed properly.

No other way to join clay to pvc, clay to iron, iron to pvc and these are very handy with no issues.

A lot of sewer tap saddles out there using this method with no problems.

Sure and add Orangeburg to the mix, but that's Sch40 to Sch40, no?

Contractor buddy of mine remodeled a Hometown Buffet some years back. Said one wall bay was full to the top of budweizer cans. Original construction boys were having fun. Lol
