Blood and Gold on Netflix is pretty good for a eurotrash movie. The guns seem all period correct, to include a sweet scoped Mauser used to shoot a main character that put to mi d several posters here. Itāll make sense if you see it.

Here's a not good flick on Netflix - Seven Kings Must Die. Well, it may be okay but I shut it off for reason to be revealed.
It's a two hour finale movie for the series "The Last Kingdom", which I really, really liked. If you don't know the series this next part won't mean anything to you.
Aethelstan, the son of King Edward, was raised by the main character, Uhtred, to be a brave warrior and wise future king, basically a good guy like his mentor Uhtred. At the start of the movie, Edward has died and now Aethelstan must assume the throne before his brother, who also has a somewhat legitimate claim to it.
Trouble is, Aethelstan has come under the influence of some warrior priest who is a conniving, manipulating type, pouring poison into Aethelstan's ear at every turn.
Okay, I can live with that, there were other conniving types in the series who got their just comeuppance. Then it's revealed that Aethelstan, the bad ass, morally strong young warrior from the earlier series, is having a homo affair with said warrior priest.
It was at that point that I shut the damn thing off. Thanks for the warning. We just finished the series and were going to watch the movie soon. I have had to turn several series off recently when Amazon couldn't let the homo stuff go.

the wife and I watched "Cocaine bear" the other night (had to rent it)... we watched it since we live in Knoxville... I must admit going into it I assumed it would be a fun - stupid movie... It was... some of the stuff in it is hilarious as long as you do not try and take the movie serious in any way

Who else thinks most of what is produced now is almost unwatchable. Gratuitous āMFā bombs left and right, multiple woke sub themes, women trying to prove they are men and an attempt to include every left wing social construct? I got 5 episodes into the Diplomat and just couldnāt stomach it. The writers trash what, otherwise could be a decent show. We started The Diplomat on Netflix and are getting a kick out of it. It involves an idiot first-term President who has to be corralled and controlled by his handlers, and who has a female Vice President who is about to get outed in a scandal and forced to resign. The whole story line is about torture testing and vetting another potential female VP who doesn't have her own agenda, in order to replace the current VP and help the President win re-election next year. The language is no different than what I would expect to find anywhere in high office where the people aren't miked up or overheard by unsympathetic press. So far, so good. If it goes downhill, I'll stop watching and post here. But, the language doesn't scare me or seem anything close to implausible.
