It's along I80 at the east end of Sparks.

Thanks Bruce,

Haven't been that way in awhile.

Usually bypass that section when I head to AZ by coming down through Gerlach and into Fernly. And if I head to SoCal or the Eastern Sierras I go straight down through Reno on 395.

How long has it been out there? I haven't come in from Winnemucca in going on 10 years now.

As a boomer I loved going to Scheels when I lived out west! It’s the few things I miss here in the east

I went to my first one late last year outside Dallas. Nice store.

Wish they'd open one in MI. Scheels is one of my go-to online sources for fishing stuff. Great service and the run some good sales.

Ferris wheels and soccer balls don’t belong in a sporting goods store…

I hope they keep CCI 250 primers, H1000, and RCBS decapping pins in stock.

Not on the 250’s, in Bismarck, anyway. Does anyone stock those currently?

Been to the one in Colorado Springs. Big store with lots of schit. Restaurant, Ferris wheel, games, and all kinds of crap.

That’s a lot of overhead and prices end up reflecting it.

Heard good stuff about Scheel's here.

But have about Cabella's and Sportsmans.
Neither ever impressed me. Was very disappointed when Sportsmans bought
F&S here. New name, same crap.

I don't know anything about Scheels. but Kentucky got its first Buc-ees last year and it caused quite a stir. That place is huge. It's like a human zoo, so I hit the head, get my gas and roll down the road. It is a clean place with nice toilets, but lots of the time it's wall to wall people.

Scheels is employee owned and stands staunchly for conservative, Christian values. That's good enough for me to look there first. Great place, great people.

I gotta give credit to our local Sportsman's and Cabela's also.

Either is a great place to take a town dump. Except Sportsman's took the paper towels out of the restroom. So I walk out with water dripping from my hands all over the floors. Not a big deal to me. Their store, their choice.

The local Walmart got smart and put the paper towels back in. Despite the objections of the city dept. of waste management.

Best “sporting goods” store I’ve been too, been to the great falls and Billings stores.

In Montana, that's the way it was (and still to certain extent is) for a long time. There were local rivals that weren't chains, but before I moved to Townsend in 1990, shopped a LOT in the Billings and Great Falls stores whenever I ended up in either town. In fact I thought Scheels was a Montana company--but just Googled it and they started in North Dakota!

But evidently the Montana stores aren't anywhere near the newer Scheels in size and variety!

I went to the one in Morehead Minnesota close to the Red River .

The white channel catfish were biting under the bridge near the store. But lots of snags.

The tackle selection they had was disappointing.
