Just something that I'm not sure I ever hear mentioned here is that as well as all the other models changing names in the 1921-1922 time period.. The pistols did also. Went from the Model 1917 to the Model 17. Marketing got their way across all product lines.

Went from the Model 1917 to the Model 17.
Marketing got their way across all product lines. First time I have heard of a 1917 pistol called Model 17. Thus, sounds very strange.

Not an ad. That's from the Rogues Gallery catalog, catalog #63. Page 24. 1924 retail multi page pricelist here. I've also seen the "Model 17" name on the small pricelists.
