Sako and Tikka are the same company...

Lapua is Nammo, Sako & Tikka are Beretta Holding.

Not that Sako couldn't contract Nammo to manufacture ammunition with their name on it.

WOW no wonder you are known as the ChUNTer, you Can't Understand Normal Thinking !!!!
Let me try one more time to explain it to you.....
Remington formally introduced the 22-250 in 1965, they and several others produced brass for decades, all of it is smaller than SAAMI spec. for example I just opened up a brand new bag of Winchester blue bag 22-250 brass
Base measures .462" the web measures .460" and the extractor groove is .408".......most other brands are close to this but all my Norma and Federal have been fired so it would not be a fair comparison

Lapua entered the 22-250 game in 2010, they only made it for 12 years as it was discontinued (not suspended as other cartridges were last year).

I just opened up a new blue box of Lapua brass....Base measures .4697"(SAAMI max), web measures .467"and the extractor groove is .415"(over SAAMI spec).

Not a problem with sloppy chambers, but if you had a custom reamer made prior to 2010 or have a tight chamber Lapua brass causes issues, .007" is a LOT bigger and perhaps Mathman can explain it to you..........a Lapua and chamber issue not a fhuqking gun issue

Guessing Lil'Dicks gunsmith Shewang had her reamers made after 2010

Not really sure who makes what. If general consensus is correct, the "18" on the Sako headstamp would mark it as made in that year. So, as brass goes, it is still fairly recent manufacture. I would guess that about half of the mixed lot of Sako had had their loads pulled, as they were unfired yet sized for seating. The measurements, or differences thereof, between the "old" and "new" in the lot were not unalike, about what you'd expect from a bulk bag purchase. The Lapua were pretty well on the mark between them all. Slight (less than .001") at any point, except length, and that was remedied right quick. After all was said and done, I think the conclusion will lean towards the angle in the groove and its accompanying length. Thanks for all the good input and steering me in the right direction.

I haven’t had the extraction issues, but will say without FL sizing, not a single piece of Lapua brass will chamber in my T3x.

Sako just acquired Norma. Sako does not own Lapua.
The Beretta Group (Beretta, Sako, Benelli, Burris and Steiner Optics now owns Norma and NormaShooting.com.
