My wife was just admitted tonight and is having emergency gall bladder surgery in the morning. All is supposed to go smoothly as this isn't uncommon but we all know sometimes it doesn't go smoothly.

Good luck. My wife had the same thing a couple years ago. They usually do fine and feel great after.
It is pretty routine these days so don’t worry too much.

As previously said - gall bladder surgery is commonplace.
After Dad had his out, he stated - "I'm only sorry I didn't have it done 40 years ago!".
Though, at that time, the gall bladder wasn't suspect in his "belly problems"
