My best friend had 2 of them. I hated driving them on the highway. He liked them though. Smoother riding offroad than Ford or GM. He had electrical problems on the 2nd one that Nissan couldn't resolve. I wouldn't buy one if they were 20% cheaper than Ford or GM. I drive by the Canton Plant on the way to work and have noticed that most of the workers drive something else.

My rancher buddy has had every make and liked his old Titan best- though to me it seemed problematic. Stupid shame to have to drop the line to tote a lie.

My cousin had one for a short time. He bought it new. Poor gas mileage. It always pulled towards the ditch on hyway driving. Had it back to dealer a couple times and to private alignment place once. Everything ok except it would pull you into the ditch. He traded in shortly after. Edk

Tundra isn't exactly a miser on gas either but was way ahead of the Titan.

They don't sell many of them for sure. I have read mixed reviews on them mostly positive. Styling ,Performance most likely did it in.

That might be going a little far. Head of engineers where I work typically drives Altimas because they pencil out the best. He said they are no ways the best vehicle but he can get one with 100,000 miles, drive it to 230,000 cheaper than he can anything else. He drives 60,000 miles per year so it's important to him.

Isn't that a crap shoot to buy a vehicle with 100k on it and then want it to last to 230,000? The way the majority of car owners take care of their vehicle with dealer recommended 10k oil changes and limited maintenance I can't imagine it is easy to find a suitable car. Nissan lost a lot of its quality after Renault took over ownership.

Titan and the SUV version Armada are the two worst current passenger vehicles on the road for fuel mileage.

Never liked Nissan. We had one a Maxima a number of years ago and the darned computer decided to die and left us stranded. After that, no more Nissans. When they stop production parts will dry up likely.

I remember hearing about rear axles being an issue with the earlier models but I haven't heard much about them lately - good or bad
no shortage of horror stories about Nissan CVTs in the sedans

I remember hearing about rear axles being an issue with the earlier models That's OK, its only if you carry stuff or pull stuff. Nobody buys a Nissan (Datsun) to do that.

I have a fishing buddy who drove an Armada for 200,000 miles pulling his heavy boat and is now buying another one. That despite the fact that he had no end of trouble with the first one. Fuel tank pump (which required darn near disassembling the vehicle to get to), wheel bearings, exhaust system, and more. Plus the horrible gas mileage. It finally died completely.
