Can't say that I have one but I stopped at a little taqueria today that made about the best crispy picadillo taco I have had and their red salsa properly hot. All for $3.

Really good Mexican is hard to beat in my opine. Good Italian, American, seafood, and Chinese are pretty fair as well

Jim; Good afternoon, I hope combining is going smoothly for you and your fine family is well.
Talking to my brother the other day and the one New Holland combine swallowed a rock and piled up a gear box so it's out of action waiting for parts now. Was too wet in the spring to roll pack the rocks in that spot he figured.
As far as food, being a culinary Canuck Philistine I've had to look up a few things mentioned including your Pico de Gallo. We do fresh salsa sometimes, but since I can't do too hot the peppers aren't super spicy and I'm one of "those folks" who can't abide cilantro somehow.
My go to when it's just me is a couple of slices of venison backstrap grilled quick on both sides with Montreal Steak spice and butter. Then I'll have them on a chunk of the whole wheat bread I make with with some fried onions and mushrooms on top.
We grew shallots for the first time this year and I'm really enjoying them in that role, but otherwise any mild onion is fine.

Fresh Wahoo cooked or raw. It’s been over twenty years, but my late brother caught one on a charter trip from the Outer Banks. When we got back to the rental, he and I snuck out on the deck and lit the grill. Best fish I ever had, no question, even better than snook, which is saying something…..

All of the things that aren't good for me. I'm more powerful than those urges.
Scalloped potatoes. Quality cheese cake. Real, west coast sourdough French bread. Baked, crusted over Mac n cheese. Twice baked potatoes. Thick crusted Mud Pie Sadly most are just memories.

I will say the meal that has stuck out as one of the best things I ever ate was an octopus dish in Mexico. Pulpit Arrietta. Holy Christmas.
Not something I had before is a big reason it stands out.
Fried chicken, pounded and fried pork loin cutlets, fried fish, great chili, peas and greens with smoked pork, spinach salad with hot bacon dressing, a really good burger. I like to eat. Too much.
A member here, his mother cooked a caribou roast that I still fondly recall 30 or so years later. This. My taste buds are as sensory as most any of other of my parts. Marginal food, a big disappointment & eat enough to get by. Great food, eat past full, keep eating cause it's so damn good. It caught up with me & I now have to throttle back. DAMMIT.
