St Croix for my mules, but I just boughta pair of Cavallo boots to try. Getting too old to tack on shoes. Wife bought a set of those Cavallo to put on over the shoes on her gelding, easier than putting on pads. I was skeptical, especially the for the price but they've been awesome. The only issue I have with those is the mud sucks them right off.

I don't have a horse. They don't come in my size. Same. The stable where my wife keeps her 4 legged money pit won't keep Clydesdales or Belgians. They have no problem kicking stalls into toothpicks.
