Shot my first deer with a Weatherby Vanguard in 7mm REM Mag my Dad bought me. Last years deer was shot with my Model 70 SS Classic in 30-06. In shotgun only area this year. Be using the Remington 870 my Dad bought me as well. Sports a rifled barrel now. Amazing how much game I’ve taken with that Wingmaster.

My first deer and deer rifle is this Ruger 77 mkII in 30-06 I got in '95. It started as a boat paddle but got a Micky in coyote bomber from Mr. Bin probably in 2010. Last deer was in '21 with the same rifle on the same ranch as my first buck.

First deer rifle was a Midland Arms .243 Win with 4X Jana scope. I don't have a picture of it, and it still resides at my parents house. I upgraded the trigger to a Timney and 3-9X40 VXI on the scope eventually. This year I had a good friend I used to work and hunt with pass away. He left me his Ruger .44 Carbine, and I hope to take a deer with it in OK before Thanksgiving.

My first was a Ruger M77 7mm Rem Mag bought new in 1977 (sold many years ago) scoped with a Burris 4X. My most recent, just a few weeks ago, is a used Rem M700 ADL synthetic in 6.5 Creedmoor. It will wear a 3-9X FFII.

My first deer rifle was a Rem 742 in 30-06, purchased used in 1984. It developed a bad case of the chatters and I had to retire it in 2004. Before that, I used a Rem 1100 12 GA with a smoothbore barrel and rifle sights. My last buck was taken last year with a Ruger Hawkeye in 30-06.

My first deer rifle was a Model 700 in 7mm RM. The one I use now is a Weatherby Vanguard 2 in .30-06. In between those two were a couple of .30-06 semi-autos, a .243W model 700, and a .30-06 model 700 (which I still occasionally use).

First deer was with a Marlin Papoose 22lr. That killed a lot of deer. The last deer shot was with a rifle was with a Kimber Montana 7mm-08. The last deer shot period was with a Glock 19. This week I’ll go out probably.

First deer was grandpa's 141 35 rem. That was in 2001. Last deer was tc venture rebored to 358 Winchester, using 200 grain cast bullets that I cast myself.
