Sold my 2006 SR5 access cab 6spd with 6cyl 4WD for 10 K last year. I had the frame redone with a rust preventive POR. I had a lot of mechanical issues with it . Dealer should have replaced the frame and didn't , I don't deal with them anymore.
My brother has owned 1/2 dozen of them in every iteration . I have owned 3. We are officially out of the tacoma market.

I had a 2014 4 Dr 4WD with an auto. Out of all my Tacomas it was the nicest riding one with zero issues.

Do you think 12,000 is a fair price?

Do you think 12,000 is a fair price? I have not seen your truck and the used market is tough right now . I think 12K is very doable provided frame and powertrain are in good condition.

It has a new factory frame and rust coated every year. No issues at all with the motor and drivetrain.Oil is changed every 3,000 miles This is an extremely nice truck and meticulously cared for. Thanks for all the feedback

Do you think 12,000 is a fair price? From your description I'd say too low. As a reference I sold my 2002 Tacoma DC 4x4 SR5 with 242k miles, with scratches, a few dents, rough bed, etc., for $11k cash. Now, that was at the height of the used car market, but I'm not sure things have dropped considerably beyond that? I would go to truck trader and watch it for a few weeks. Check on Tacomas in your year(s), mileage, condition range and go from there.

In 2004 I bought this Tacoma from Cavender Toyota in San Antonio TX. It had 74k on it. I put another 120k on it. Sold it to a guy in WI (after I moved home from TX) in 2014. When I got rid of it - not a spec of rust anywhere on it, just a dent in the fender from the ex-wife. It just popped up on Marketplace. He apparently hasn't driven it since I sold it or swapped a new 4cy into it. I don't know that I'd be willing to pay 7k for it back. 4cyl, auto, 4wd. It's not apples/apples but just a reference on where Tacos hold value. As to what's fair on a 2005, that's first year of 2nd gen. This is an 05, Access Cab at a used car lot in NC - assume dealers are high on price right now. GLWYS

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

INSTEAD of the UAW rising to the standard of Toyota... They will try and drag the standard DOWN to GM, Ford and Mopar... Fugg the UAW in every possible... ...with Flitz as the lube.

If it were mine in western VA I'd ask 15-16k and expect to get pretty close to that. They're bringing a premium at the moment. Still tough to find new 4wd Toyota anything unless you go to a bigger lot. My 09 is just under 300k and I've been offered 13k for it the guy was dead serious

Only problem is financing on older vehicles. Just sold an 06 Silverado 2 months ago. Asked 15k ( 2 owner truck , just under 100k , all service records, clean carfax ) lots of folks wanted it but didn't have the $ or couldn't get it. Ended up selling to a local car lot for $14.5 k . They turned around and made a couple thousand on it.
