OMG! That is hilarious! Unfortunately, probably true.
The majority are going with answer B, which is 3. That is the correct answer!

Are *you* sure about that?

Persiandog: I did NOT read ahead - and "I" could not finger it out, with my limited mathematical skills. BUT... I did "eyeball" the smaller circle and "eyeballed" it circling around the larger circle and guesstimated between 7 and 8 revolutions would bring it back to point of origin.
I was wrong.
Thanks to those with the explanation of the correct answer now that I read about it.
Maybe I should have just asked "Alexa"?
Thanks for the nifty "puzzle".

The correct answer is.........

Wait for it .......

4!

Or 1, depending on how you read the question.

Or.....

Or 3, if you're looking at it from the perspective of the center of circle 'B'

But....
By the EXACT wording of the question the correct answer is 4.

Slight twists on the wording can yield an answer of either 1 or 3. But ONLY 4 is correct by using the EXACT wording of the question.

All you need to do is divide the circumference of B by the circumference of A.

X = (2 x rad B x Pi ) / (2 x rad A x Pi) The 2's and the Pi's cancel so:
X = rad B / rad A
since rad B = 3 x rad A,
X = 3 x rad A / rad A = 3

That might look complicated but you can do it in your head in a minute with a little thought.

So you are pretty sure the answer is 3?

For all the “3 is the correct answer” people, others have asked how many rotations would it take for one quarter to make it around another?

Since the circumferences of each quarter are the same, the “3 is correct” crowd would tell you the answer should be 1. But it isn’t 1, it’s 2. You can easily verify this by holding one quarter stationary in the table and rolling another one around it (as other posters have already suggested).

Didn’t read all the responses yet but I’m going with (C) as my answer. 6 revolutions.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

After reading Rock Chuck’s lengthy calculations I’m sticking with (C), 6 revolutions. 🤓
