If it has to be 25+ years old, I would say a 1970 Chevy El Camino LS6 (454, 450 HP). I would use my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon for the other tasks.

I occasionally have nostalgic thoughts flit through about some of the old Diesel Landcruisers I have owned...then I get into the Hilux and drive for nine hours and get out and walk around without being beat to pieces.

Screw nostalgia.

Mint 1998 12 valve, NV4500 4wd with suicide doors and a long bed... 2500 or 3500.

Rare as hell...

Never been in any kind of wreck, save a small dent I put into it under the driver’s side door out hunting. I would sell my Great Grandfather’s 2nd year production Model 70 before I would sell this pickup. I also own a 1999 F250 PowerStroke 5 speed manual with 180K, but the Dodge is my baby.

Nice...

Had a 93 of that truck with the extra cab... Those VE engines will last forever.

Wesley pulled the engine out of one just yesterday... Think he is going to put in a 52 Ford.

Years ago I had 72 with a 302 then had a 77 with a 300/6, and a 78 with a 351M...both good trucks

Now I've got a early 70's F100 4wd with a 351W.

Had this nice 72 Chevy SB 72 but ran it up under a gasoline tanker that was jack knifed around a curve in the road about midnight in 1977

Here's the truck I had in college with my girl looking out the window

I like the looks of the old trucks. I like a 59 Apache with side steps. Maybe not a practical truck but what I like

I have a daily driver so I’d want a reg cab LWB 3/4 or 1 ton 4x4 . Kinda a toy, weekend driver type that will haul or pull if needed .

Dodge RAM Laramie Longhorn 4x4.
All the goodies and comforts plus a great stereo system.

Had mine 10+ years and went to trade it in, decided I loved the truck better than the new consideration and drove it home where it belongs.

Back before the big grain carts became popular I knew of a guy that mounted a gravity flow wagon box on one of those to transfer grain from the combine.
