Here are a few of Fug's crates. Sorry it took so long for me to get these posted. My server took it's sweet time.

Thank you for that information. Looks like I will be able to find many different types of boxes from different manufacturers.

Somewhere back in time there was a picture posted of a prison armory that had cases of Savage ammo stacked up along a wall.

Maybe 12-15 years ago.

A little OT, but I had two absolutely beautiful dove tailed DuPont Dynamite wood crates that I found in a barn on a property my parents had. My little sister lived a couple doors up from an antique store. Guess where the crates went?

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

I have a question on the 270 Winchester crate. What savage rifle would this ammo have been produced for or was savage producing 270 branded ammo to break into the ammo market?

Just selling ammo at that time, unless the crate dates to after intro of the Model 110.

Savage also sold ammo in 35 Rem, 32 Win Special, 30-40 Krag, and others that they never made rifles for. So there would almost surely be crates for those that were made.

I've got a couple of Explosives crates and few shotgun shell crates but no Savage ones.

You should be asking the owner. These all belong to Fug1899. He will have an answer in due time.
