Hurry Jimmy, the angels are waiting. 1977 to '81 were the longest years of my life...as a mechanic to the timber industry, with a new family...the absolute destruction of the housing market and western lumber market, crazy interest rates, gas lines odd and even days depending on your license plate number, high unemployment...a terrible time. Translating gas costs then to now....imagine 1 gallon of regular costing 1 hours labor. The MSM claim Carter served one term because of the Iran hostage crisis....NO, hell no, it was because in 4 short years he destroyed the middle class economy. Between Johnson, Carter and Clinton, I've pretty much had my fill of southern politicians.
