I was feeling bad about not being able to buy it until I saw those filled holes.

Back in the day that rifle was probably the bees knees with a new rifle scope.

I am proud as a peacock over the lettered Crescent that I bought with a good deal of provenance for way less than 1/2 of that price AND it is in 22HP. Totally unmolested.

probably won't sell at anywhere near that price unless someone with lots of money comes along who doesn't know what those holes do to the value.

Nice gun but honestly guns like that don't interest me even tho I could buy it have no desire. Guns like that have to much fluff in my opinion. Could never hunt with something like that would be afraid of messing it up another reason I wouldn't own something like that . Just my personal opinion

No, but the gun looked awful familiar.
I qualified my comment with “I think”

If I owned it, I would hunt with it. Its what they are made to do. Wall hangers and safe-queens are just a waste, saving it for someone else.

I hear ya. But sometimes circumstances change over the years.
The Mona Lisa was meant to be hung on someone's wall. It's now protected in the Louvre.
